About the job

Goods & Services is looking for a Senior Data Operations Engineer who will focus on optimizing our data operations using Amazon Redshift, AWS Lambda, and various cloud infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management and cloud deployment, ensuring our data systems are efficient, reliable, and scalable.

What you’ll do:

• Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines using AWS services, including Amazon Redshift and AWS Lambda.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and ensure data availability.
• Monitor and optimize data workflows for performance and cost efficiency.
• Automate data processing tasks and deployments using serverless architectures.
• Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation processes.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data processes and systems.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data operations and cloud technologies.

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or operations, with a focus on AWS technologies.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing solutions, particularly Amazon Redshift.
• Familiarity with serverless computing and AWS Lambda.
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and deployment strategies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

Nice to have:

• Experience with data orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, AWS Step Functions.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or JavaScript for automation tasks.
• Familiarity with data governance and compliance regulations.
