About the job
  

Goods & Services is looking for a Senior Power BI Application Developer who is an expert in embedded analytics, including dashboard development, reporting, and data modeling to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Power BI, while also integrating these solutions with web applications built on React and RESTful services.

What you’ll do:

• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design and implement data models, data flows, and ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Integrate Power BI solutions with web applications using React and REST APIs.
• Optimize Power BI performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI features, best practices, and industry trends.
• Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and functionalities.

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role.
• Experience with Power Query and DAX.
• Experience integrating Power BI into custom web application.
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration.
• Experience working with relational databases, e.g. SQL querying.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) experience.

Nice to have:

• Experience with React.js and building web applications.
• Understanding of OAuth 2.0 and\or Open ID Connect.
• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
