The Creative Services Director is responsible for leading and optimizing Goodway Group’s enterprise-wide creative function, overseeing the strategy, design, development, and production of high-impact creative work across all lines of business. Reporting to the EVP/GM, this leader ensures that creative plays a central, strategic role in driving client outcomes, business growth, and operational excellence.

This role unifies creative strategy, design, UX/UI, copywriting, and project management within a single performance-focused framework. The Creative Director champions creative effectiveness, ensures seamless integration across teams, and leverages technology, data, and AI to deliver scalable, measurable results.

They serve as both a creative and operational leader, shaping vision, optimizing process, and empowering teams to deliver work that is as efficient as it is exceptional.

What you’ll do:

  • Creative Process & Production Excellence
    • Own and continuously optimize creative production workflows to enhance efficiency, profitability, and creative quality across the enterprise.
    • Oversee resourcing and bandwidth across design, motion, interactive, and project management teams, ensuring optimal utilization and delivery speed.
    • Integrate creative project management systems across LOBs to support seamless collaboration and visibility.
    • Implement strong quality assurance standards and governance across all creative deliverables, maintaining brand and performance consistency.
  • Creative Strategy & Enablement
    • Lead the creative strategists to translate brand assessments, audience insights, and testing outcomes into actionable creative concepts.
    • Develop and evolve creative frameworks and playbooks that ensure scalability, repeatability, and impact across diverse client needs.
    • Champion the use of AI, data insights, and automation to enhance creative effectiveness and innovation.
    • Partner closely with media and analytics teams to ensure creative concepts align with channel strategies, audience targeting, and paid media performance goals.
  • People Leadership & Team Growth
    • Lead a multidisciplinary team of creative professionals; strategists, designers, copywriters, developers, and project managers in a high-performing, collaborative environment.
    • Drive ongoing skills development and knowledge sharing to prepare the team for next-generation creative capabilities.
    • Build a culture of creative accountability, agility, and curiosity that aligns with Goodway’s values and growth mindset.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership
    • Collaborate closely with LOB leaders, marketing, media, and operations to align creative strategies with business priorities and client goals.
    • Bridge creative and media disciplines to deliver integrated, performance-driven campaigns that amplify channel strategy and audience insights.
    • Partner with finance and commercial teams on scoping, pricing, and utilization models for creative projects to ensure profitability.
    • Provide informed recommendations on creative pricing and staffing models, contributing to commercial strategy and client value alignment.
    • Contribute creative expertise to pitches and business development initiatives, helping position creative as a core growth enabler.
    • Represent creative in pitch and prospect conversations, articulating creative’s strategic, performance, and business impact with clarity and confidence.
  • Creative Operations & Measurement
    • Establish creative KPIs tied to efficiency, utilization, and impact, ensuring data informs process optimization and decision-making.
    • Identify opportunities to streamline tools, workflows, and vendor partnerships across the creative function.
    • Continuously assess team performance, resourcing needs, and systems to support scalability and excellence across all lines of business.

What You Bring:

  • Creative leadership experience within an agency or marketing organization.
  • Proven success managing multidisciplinary creative teams (design, copy, UX/UI, motion, PM).
  • Understanding of the paid media landscape and how creative influences performance, channel effectiveness, and client outcomes.
  • Strong operational background in scaling creative workflows and production systems.
  • Ability to translate data, insights, and strategy into effective creative concepts.
  • Proficiency with creative project management and collaboration tools.
  • Skilled in cross-functional partnership across marketing, media, operations, and finance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, marketing, communications, or related field.
