Who You Are 

The Vice President, Media - Retail Media Networks (RMN) is a senior leader responsible for driving media excellence, innovation, and performance across Goodway Group’s portfolio of retail media network partnerships. This role oversees all media operations, strategy translation, and performance outcomes across key retailer clients. 

As the organization’s resident expert in retail media, this leader ensures every retailer-operated network performs at or above expectations, platform and activation best practices are consistently applied, and Goodway’s media delivery represents the highest standards of omnichannel excellence. The VP acts as a strategic advisor to retail network executives and internal leadership alike, connecting business objectives to media outcomes while advancing operational maturity, talent capability, and market credibility. 

What You Will Be Doing

Media Excellence & Performance

  • Lead all aspects of RMN media execution across onsite, offsite, and in-store channels. 
  • Establish and enforce operational best practices for campaign activation, pacing, optimization, and QA across all retail networks. 
  • Monitor performance KPIs (ROAS, sales lift, incrementality, deliver-in-full rates, and sell-through) and ensure proactive course correction and learning application. 
  • Drive a test-and-learn mindset and embed data-informed decision-making in all RMN operations.

Platform Leadership & Innovation

  • Own platform excellence and innovation across all core RMN and ad tech tools (Criteo, CitrusAd, Kevel, LiveRamp, The Trade Desk, Adobe, Google, Meta, and emerging in-store solutions). 
  • Partner across Retailer Product, Tech, and Analytics teams to evaluate and integrate new platforms, data solutions, and clean room technologies that advance retail media performance. 
  • Ensure consistent documentation, workflow optimization, and cross-platform learning across all RMN accounts.

Client Leadership & Partnership

  • Serve as senior media advisor and performance leader for retail network executives, ensuring clear alignment between retailer business goals and media execution strategies. 
  • Represent Goodway in executive-level client discussions, joint business planning, QBRs, and media innovation reviews. 
  • Deliver proactive, insight-led recommendations to drive network maturity and growth. 
  • Ensure RMN clients view Goodway as a high-performing and forward-looking media partner. 

Cross-Functional Integration

  • Collaborate closely with Client Experience, Analytics, Strategy, and Investment teams to ensure alignment across RMN programs. 
  • Partner with the Commerce Client Leads and other LOB media leaders to share best practices and frameworks that elevate execution consistency and performance. 
  • Support enterprise-level innovation by integrating RMN insights into full-funnel and commerce media strategies. 

People Leadership & Capability Building

  • Directly lead and develop the RMN Media team, including Media Directors, Activation leads, and supporting pods. 
  • Build a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement anchored in operational rigor and craft mastery. 
  • Partner with PX to define talent pathways, skill development plans, and performance management frameworks for media talent. 
  • Establish succession planning and elevate next-generation media leaders within the RMN organization. 

Industry Engagement & Thought Leadership

  • Represent Goodway’s RMN media expertise at key retail media forums, panels, and client-facing events when invited. 
  • Partner with Marketing and Communications to highlight RMN success stories and innovation in-market. 
  • Contribute to POVs, case studies, or client showcases that reinforce Goodway’s leadership in retail and commerce media. 

 

How You Know You Are Succeeding

Network Performance 

  • ≥90% of RMN campaigns meet or exceed performance benchmarks (ROAS, incrementality, delivery rates, and margin targets). 
  • Demonstrated improvement in network maturity across all retail clients (as measured by client feedback and performance baselines). 

Platform Innovation 

  • Implement 2–3 cross-network process or platform innovations improving efficiency, measurement accuracy, or performance. 
  • 100% compliance with platform best practices and operational QA standards across RMN teams. 

Client Impact 

  • Positive executive feedback across all retail network partners (QBR and annual relationship surveys). 
  • Documented contribution to network strategy and roadmap development. 

Talent Development 

  • 100% of RMN media pod leaders certified in core RMN platforms and frameworks. 
  • Active succession plan in place for key media leadership roles. 

Market Presence 

  • Participation in at least 2 external retail media industry events or panels. 
  • Authorship or contribution to at least 1 thought leadership piece or case study highlighting RMN innovation. 

What You Bring

  • 12–15+ years in digital media leadership, with deep expertise in retail and commerce media ecosystems. 
  • Proven record of leading large-scale retail media activation, integrating onsite, offsite, and in-store performance strategies. 
  • Hands-on fluency across RMN platforms (Criteo, CitrusAd, Kevel, TTD, LiveRamp, etc.) and KPIs (ROAS, incrementality, sales lift, sell-through). 
  • Experienced operator who combines strong commercial acumen with excellence in executional detail. 
  • Strategic and collaborative leader who thrives in a high-growth, matrixed environment. 
  • Recognized or emerging thought leader in retail media; comfortable representing Goodway externally. 
  • Inclusive and empowering people leader who builds confidence, clarity, and career paths for media professionals.
