Global Paid Search & Social Media Manager

The Paid Search & Social Media Manager is responsible for the strategic planning and hands-on execution of paid search and paid social campaigns. This role plans, activates, optimizes, and manages media investments based on the client’s communication strategy, customer journey, audience insights, and business objectives.
The Paid Media Manager works closely with clients and cross-functional teams to develop integrated media activation plans, evaluate performance, identify growth opportunities, and present actionable campaign insights. The ideal candidate has experience managing performance-focused campaigns across both search and social platforms. Experience supporting commerce, direct-response, or growth-focused clients is strongly preferred.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Media Activation:
- Plan, activate, optimize, and manage paid search and paid social campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Meta, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok, and X.
- Translate client objectives and communication strategies into effective search and social campaign recommendations.
- Develop campaign structures, audience strategies, keyword approaches, bidding strategies, budget allocations, and testing plans.
- Make activation and investment decisions based on client goals, audience insights, customer journeys, and campaign performance.
- Manage performance against conversion-focused metrics such as CPL, CPA, CAC, ROAS, CLV, and lead-to-sale ratio.
- Use client, platform, and proprietary data to refine targeting, adjust media investments, and identify opportunities for campaign expansion.
- Apply a test-and-learn approach to creative, audiences, keywords, bidding, placements, and campaign structure.
- Oversee the full campaign lifecycle, including setup, trafficking, optimization, troubleshooting, reporting, forecasting, and billing.
- Ensure brand safety, fraud prevention, tracking accuracy, and data-quality transparency across campaigns.
- Support audits of prospective and existing client search and social accounts.
Client Service:
- Develop comprehensive paid search and social activation plans aligned with each client’s business goals and customer journey.
- Anticipate client needs and provide proactive, data-informed recommendations.
- Present campaign performance, analysis, and insights clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Explain platform strategies, investment decisions, results, and optimization recommendations in accessible business terms.
- Build trusted client relationships through responsive communication, reliable execution, and strategic guidance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with strategy, planning, analytics, creative, CX, and investment teams to deliver a cohesive consumer experience across channels.
- Work closely with media planning teams to manage campaign delivery and provide ongoing optimization recommendations.
- Coordinate creative requirements, tracking needs, reporting expectations, and campaign timelines across internal and client teams.
- Contribute search and social expertise to broader media planning and business-review discussions.
- Support and mentor junior team members by sharing platform knowledge and activation best practices.
Thought-Leadership:
- Help establish and refine paid search and social activation standards and best practices.
- Stay current on platform changes, privacy developments, measurement capabilities, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
- Identify new platform features, buying strategies, and testing opportunities that could improve client outcomes.
- Participate in professional development and contribute meaningfully within areas of subject-matter expertise.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, business, or a related field preferred.
- Three or more years of hands-on experience managing paid search and paid social campaigns.
- Experience working in direct-response, commerce, performance marketing, or growth-focused environments.
- Working knowledge of Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Meta Ads Manager, and additional social platforms such as LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok, or X.
- Solid understanding of campaign setup, trafficking, keyword and audience strategy, bidding, budget allocation, forecasting, testing, optimization, reporting, troubleshooting, and billing.
- Knowledge of measurement strategy, conversion tracking, pixels, attribution, and how different media channels influence consumer behavior.
- Experience analyzing and visualizing campaign data using tools such as Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Skai, or Tableau. SQL experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn performance data into clear recommendations.
- Excellent client communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple campaigns, platforms, priorities, and deadlines.
- Collaborative approach and experience working effectively across disciplines and teams.
