You are excited by the opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a fast-paced, growing brand and take pride in supporting both creative and day-to-day design operations. You are proactive, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple priorities, bringing a thoughtful and solutions-oriented approach to your work.
About the Role
The Assistant Designer supports the GWYN design team across all stages of the product lifecycle, from initial concept through final development. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Technical Design, and Merchandising to help ensure cohesive execution of each collection. Sitting within the Design team, this role plays an important part in supporting the creative process and helping bring each season to life. This position reports to the Design Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research for future collections, including silhouettes, fabrics, trims, finishes, and overall design inspiration
- Assist in maintaining and updating fit line sheets after each fitting
- Edit fit photos and support in creating presentation documents for internal and creative team use
- Assist with sketching and updating technical sketches as needed
- Create and edit color options using Photoshop
- Support general day-to-day design tasks across the GWYN collection process
- Participating in weekly fittings and documenting key insights and improvements
- Creating polished PDF presentation decks for creative team reviews
Qualifications & Experience
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Strong hand sketching skills
- Highly detail-oriented with a strong eye for design and accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines
- Interest in fashion design, materials, and garment construction
- Strong communication and willingness to work collaboratively in a small team

- Compensation: $18.47 an hour. This temporary Assistant role will be full-time (40 hours/week) and run from June 1st – July 28th, 2026.
