Job Title: Customer Audit Engineer
What to Expect
Gotion is seeking a dynamic Customer Audit Engineer that will be responsible for leading the preparation work for customer factory audits, managing the end-to-end audit process, and ensuring the resolution of identified issues. This position will also oversee internal process audits (such as VDA 6.3), collaborate across functions to implement improvement measures, reduce risks, and maintain compliance with industry standards.)
What You’ll Do
- Lead the preparation, execution, and follow-up work of customer factory audits to ensure full compliance with customer requirements.
- Serve as the primary liaison for the client audit team, coordinating with internal departments to gather the necessary documents and data.
- Before the customer audit, conduct risk identification and self-assessment to proactively address potential non-conformity issues.
- Develop and track action plans to address audit findings and ensure timely resolution of high-risk escalation issues as needed.
- Maintain audit documents and provide real-time updates on audit progress and compliance risks to leadership.
- Develop, plan and execute internal process audits according to industry standards
- (e.g.VDA 6.3, IATF 16949).
- Develop an audit checklist and conduct a process audit of the production line to assess whether it meets the quality system requirements.
- Record audit results, generate reports, and conduct root cause analysis on identified non-compliances.
- Lead the implementation of corrective and preventive measures, ensure a closed-loop solution process, and regularly follow up.
- Organize and display audit performance data through visual reports, and track continuous improvement efforts.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Material Sciences
- 3+ years’ experience on customer quality management, with experience in the automotive, power battery, or energy storage battery industry preferred.
- Have a deep understanding of VDA 6.3, IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and customer audit requirements.
- Experience leading internal and external audits, including risk assessment and compliance tracking.
- Proficient in audit documentation, data collection, and reporting.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a focus on detail.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills, able to collaborate across departments.
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000- $120,000, plus eligibility for bonus and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by factors such as the role, level, and geographic location. Actual compensation within the range will be influenced by the specific work location, along with factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
