
Maintenance Technician (2nd shift)

Role Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment, automated systems, robotic cells, forklifts, facility systems, and associated electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components. This position supports safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
The ideal candidate possesses strong mechanical aptitude, industrial electrical troubleshooting skills, and experience working with automated manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on production equipment and facility assets.
- Diagnose and repair industrial electrical systems, including motors, controls, sensors, VFDs, and 480V three-phase equipment.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Maintain and support robotic cells, automated machinery, conveyors, forklifts, and material handling equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and pneumatic/hydraulic diagrams to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Handling and dismantling battery packs and modules
- Install, modify, and upgrade machinery, equipment, and plant systems as required to support operational goals.
- Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, and electrical safety standards while maintaining accurate maintenance records.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Extensive experience in industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience working with 120V, 240V, and 480V industrial electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
- Experience using diagnostic equipment including multimeters, clamp meters, and test instruments.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring devices.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
Desired Qualifications:
- Technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or related field.
- PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
- Experience with industrial robots (FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa, KUKA, etc.).
- Forklift maintenance experience.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Knowledge of CMMS systems.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT) or similar credential.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in industrial environments.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally with assistance.
- Ability to work from ladders, lifts, platforms, and elevated heights.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, noise levels, and production conditions.
- Ability to distinguish wire colors and perform detailed troubleshooting activities.

- This is a 1st shift position. 1st shift is Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm.

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package at Gotion, and is determined within a range. This provides you with the opportunity to progress as you grow and advance your career at Gotion. The base pay range for this role is shown below, and will depend on your skills, qualifications, experiences, and location.
Expected Pay Range
$28 - $28 USD
