Job Description

We are seeking a Strategic Learning & Training Specialist to join the Govini Strategic Learning & Development team. In this capacity, you will report to the Vice President of Strategic Learning & Development. This role will support the development, implementation, and day-to-day execution of both strategic and tactical training series that support the needs of internal and external stakeholders.

To succeed in this job, you must understand human-centric learning, care about technology, and have business acumen. You like people and are eager to find ways to help them succeed through immersive and engaging training that encompasses national security topics and the use of data and technology to advance their learning . You are comfortable in large, classroom-style settings as well as engaging one-on-one with stakeholders. Regardless of setting, you bring the conversation back to what matters for the stakeholder, and prioritize resources to ensure goals and needs are met.

This role is located in our Arlington, VA office.

This role may require up to 50% travel.

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Develop expertise in Govini’s clients, offerings, and data, and support customers as a Govini product expert to support training objectives
  • Run the execution and logistics of several internal and external multi-day trainings
  • Effectively and professionally communicate with trainees, speakers, and other key stakeholders leading up to and on the day of training programs
  • Help design processes, playbooks, and policies to standardize and scale Govini training programs
  • Develop, track, and maintain program schedules
  • Facilitate workshops, discussions, and group activities
  • Assist in the development and design of new course modules, learning strategies, and course exercises for internal staff and government customers
  • Research relevant subject matter areas and work across teams to interview experts to create learning material
  • Use technical skills and creativity to develop and iterate on engaging, interactive asynchronous and in-person learning experiences
  • Help revise and maintain a flexible curriculum that is aligned with current best practices and proven training methodologies
  • Lead the design and administration of surveys and other assessment tools to capture and analyze data for program planning, decision-making, and reporting
  • Evaluate training to align to business outcomes

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship is required 
  • A Bachelor’s degree with 2 to 5 years of training and/or training design experience, preferably in the public sector space
  • Personnel security clearance or willingness to undergo the process 

Required Skills:

  • Goal oriented self-starter able to flex to changing business needs and priorities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practices for working with adult learners, including the ability to identify and apply assessment techniques to ensure learning outcomes
  • Excellent professional demeanor with a willingness to work outside of your comfort zone in a fast-paced environment without hesitation
  • Strong aptitude for solving open-ended issues in unpredictable, unstructured environments
  • Outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to design engaging training materials and collateral 
  • A passion for attention to detail
  • Flexible fast-paced learner
  • Previous experience working with Google Suites preferred

Desired Skills:  

  •  Relevant experience in user support or user engagement with a focus on platform and product utilization
