Our flagship product, Ark, supports Supply Chain, Science & Technology, Production, Sustainment, Logistics, and Modernization teams with AI-enabled Applications and best-in-class data to more rapidly imagine, develop, and field the capabilities we need. Today, the national security community and every branch of the military rely on Govini to enable faster and more informed Acquisition decisions.

Job Description

Govini is looking for a data-driven storyteller to join our Product Team as the Product Manager for Business Intelligence & Analytics. In this role, you won't just be crunching numbers; you’ll be the bridge between raw event logs and the strategic decisions that shape our product.  As a fast-growing company, our data environment is evolving. You’ll have ownership over our reporting methodology, influence the product roadmap, and ensure we never fly blind.  You’ll have a direct hand in defining how we measure success and will see your insights turn into shipped product features.

In order to do this job well, you must be analytical, understand user behavior, have a passion for investigating databases, have a skill for defining metrics that gauge success and identify opportunities, and want to learn everything about our users, our product, and our data.  We value curiosity and the ability to "figure it out" - if you love digging into a messy dataset to find a hidden narrative, we want to talk to you.

This is a full-time team member position, working in our offices at our Arlington, VA, or Pittsburgh, PA location.

This role may require up to 25% travel.

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and optimize automated dashboards that track core SaaS metrics (MAU/DAU, Retention, Churn, and Feature Adoption) in addition to more specific feature engagement metrics. You’ll ensure our "source of truth" is accurate, performant, and easy for non-technical stakeholders to navigate
  • Write and maintain SQL queries to support reporting, ad-hoc analysis, migration validation, and data quality checks
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Go-to-Market (GTM) Teams to translate reporting requirements into clear, accurate, and maintainable analytics outputs
  • Develop an opinion on how the data we record for metrics is structured and captured in the database
  • Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Look beyond the "what" to find the "why." You will analyze user behavior patterns to provide the Product and GTM teams with evidence-based recommendations on feature development and user friction points
  • Identify "dark spots" in our user journey where data isn't being captured. You will write technical instrumentation requirements for our engineering team to ensure we are collecting the right events at the right time
  • Help identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, or reporting gaps and escalate findings with clear context and proposed next steps
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the deployment teams and other PMs, helping them define KPIs and interpret data to improve the overall customer lifecycle
  • Create and maintain clear, structured documentation for datasets, reports, migration steps, validation results, and known data caveats

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship is required
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in  Business Administration, Business Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or similar fields, or 1-4 years of equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience,  including undergraduate or graduate roles  or internships, performing product-related analytics; preference for research, quantitative analysis, data manipulation, and data visualization skills
  • Expert in SQL and familiarity with Python and GitLab/GitHub
  • Familiarity with data models and building and handling large-scale and complex aggregations
  • Experience with BI tools and product analytics tools (specifically Grafana and Mixpanel)
  • An understanding of the SaaS business model and how user engagement translates into long-term retention
  • Outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • The ability to translate complex data findings into "so what?" insights for stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent professional demeanor with a willingness to work outside of your comfort zone in a fast-paced environment without hesitation
  • Strong aptitude for solving open-ended issues in unpredictable, unstructured environments
  • Ability to manage multiple work-streams and projects, learn quickly, and work independently with little supervision

Desired Skills:

  • Current possession of a U.S. security clearance, or the ability to obtain one with our sponsorship
  • Experience in or around DoD
  • Experience in or exposure to the nuances of a startup or other entrepreneurial environment

We firmly believe that past performance is the best indicator of future performance.  If you thrive while building solutions to complex problems, are a self-starter, and are passionate about making an impact in global security, we’re eager to hear from you.

Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
