You’ll be pragmatic and understand that moving quickly to win trust and get buy-in from stakeholders is important in this environment.

Prior experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team in a government or similar complex setting is essential. As demonstrated by prior experience, building reusable components and patterns as part of a design system. The ability to coach and inspire others, document and talk about the work you're doing, will be a benefit to successful candidates.

  • Work with interaction and content designers to implement features that meet user needs

  • Experience in producing code that meets accessibility standards (WCAG)
  • Experience in agile, multidisciplinary teams, in a complex environment
  • Experience, interest, and opinion about the use of AI in your work and how AI can be used to benefit digital delivery
  • Experience working on codebases that support multiple services, aligning to org-wide standards and practices, or with front-end design systems

What you’ll deliver

  • Accessible user interfaces that you iterate and improve
  • Reusable UI components and design patterns
  • Clear developer documentation
  • Upskilling and sharing knowledge with other members of the team
