Digital Marketing Internship

*Based on the intern trial period, a full-time exempt position on the Marketing and Communications team may be available at the end of the internship**
Job Summary:
The Digital Marketing Intern plays a central role within this fast-paced team by helping with a wide range of projects, campaigns, and initiatives, and by providing administrative and day-to-day support for the Marketing team. The Digital Marketing Intern will also work closely with individuals across the company and many external vendors and partners. Aptitude for administration, organization, clear communication and follow through on tasks in accordance with Gracious Hospitality Management (“GHM”) ’s vision and standards is essential.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist the Marketing team with digital calendar, CRM / social copy, assets, and realtime needs.
- Work with our team’s graphic designer and help manage the design, production and trafficking of branding and marketing materials, including standard organizational materials, promotional items to support sales, and seasonal campaigns.
- Project manage various event and campaign timelines.
- Support storytelling by gathering content for newsletters, social media and the website.
- Support in content development, drafting and ideation for campaigns and evergreen needs.
- Follow-up with external partners including our creative firms on deliverables / deadlines.
- Ideate new business endeavors helping brainstorm new concepts, partnerships, media opportunities.
- Take notes in meetings with summaries + actionable item points for each Marketing team member to act on.
- Organize + manage photo, PR clips, video assets in the company’s archives in Google Drive.
- Work on editing any photos for social use (that have not been shared).

Qualifications:
- Must have the ability to read, speak, understand, follow written directions, and verbal instructions in English.
- Must be reachable by email and able to communicate via phone as well.
- Communicates information effectively and efficiently.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Possesses a positive, results-oriented, team-player mentality.
- Ability to perform job duties and responsibilities well and maintain professionalism and composure under pressure and in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
- Detailed oriented, energetic self-starter who is able to think creatively, resourcefully and strategically with a focus on problem solving.
- Ability to adapt to and perform in a very fast-paced, changing environment.
- Organizational and multitasking abilities and sound administrative skills.
- A keen and demonstrated interest in the restaurant industry, food media and culture and previous experience in marketing, social media, design, photography and public relations.
- Excellent project and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and willingness to adapt to new digital platforms.
