Events Coordinator (Cote Flatiron and COQODAQ)

Job Summary:

On-site Event Coordinators are dynamic hospitality professionals responsible for facilitating administrative tasks relating to all events from group dining, private dining, buyouts, offsite events and marketing/retail events at COTE Flatiron and COQODAQ. They also assist with menu printing, sourcing, and all other administrative tasks at the direction of the Head of Events. 

 

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist the Head of Events in printing, sourcing, and other events administrative tasks at the direction of the Head of Events.   
  • Flag VIP inquiries to the Events Managers for their review prior to quoting availability, services, and pricing. 
  • Display strong verbal and written communication, effectively delivering accurate information to all customers.
  • Schedule customers with tours of Private Dining spaces with the property level Events Managers. 
  • Provides updates to events as necessary with both Front of House and Back of House teams in order to ensure clear and constant communication.
  • Assist the Head of Events in monitoring all event calendars for all businesses, with a focus on organization and accuracy.
  • Assist the Head of Events with the maintenance of Tripleseat, including converting leads, maintaining all documents, customer databases, and informational materials.
  • Maintain accurate knowledge on hours of operations, service and facility information.
  • Seeks clarity from management as needed. 

Assists other stations or areas of the restaurant when requested by the Events Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Must have the ability to read, speak, understand, follow written directions, and verbal instructions in English.
  • Must be reachable by email and able to communicate via phone as well.
  • Communicates information effectively and efficiently. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Possesses a positive, results-oriented, team-player mentality.
  • Ability to perform job duties and responsibilities well and maintain professionalism and composure under pressure and in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain professionalism when working under stress.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and local Department of Health standards.

  • Familiarity with restaurant management software such as Tripleseat, reservations management,Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace. 
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.

  • Degree in Hospitality, Culinary Management, or similar subject preferred.
  • Ability to execute steps of service in adherence with company policy. 
  • 1+ year of experience in a full-service restaurant in an events assistant or coordinator position.

New York Pay Range

$70,000 - $70,000 USD
