We're seeking a motivated Business Development Manager, HVAC to join our team and drive growth in the Northeast region. If you have a passion for sustainable technology and a solid foundation in building automation, we want to hear from you. In this role, you'll play a vital part in introducing our innovative heat pump technology to commercial clients across the Northeast. You'll leverage your technical knowledge and sales skills to build relationships, identify opportunities, and contribute to a greener future.
This person will ideally live somewhere in the Mid-Atlantic up through the New England region.
Your Responsibilities:
- Sales & Business Development: Identify and pursue sales opportunities within the commercial building sector, focusing on HVAC and building automation systems (BAS).
- Technical Consultation: Provide technical support and product knowledge to clients, explaining the benefits of Gradient's heat pump technology and its integration with building control systems.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with engineers, contractors, and facility managers in the Northeast market.
- Project Support: Collaborate with internal teams to support project execution, including site surveys, proposal development, and technical presentations.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in the Northeast's HVAC controls market.
- Channel Partner Support: Assist in building and supporting relationships with channel partners, including system integrators and controls specialists.
- Rebate and Incentive Program Awareness: Learn and utilize knowledge of Northeast state and utility rebate programs to support sales efforts.
- CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in our CRM system.
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or technical support within the HVAC controls and building automation industry.
- Solid understanding of HVAC systems, building automation systems (BAS), and control strategies.
- Familiarity with integration protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus).
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners.
- Proficiency in CRM software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or a related technical field is preferred.
- Willingness to travel within the Northeast region as needed.
- An eagerness to learn, and a passion for sustainable technologies.
