Description
Graham Capital Management, L.P. is seeking a Fundamental L/S Equities analyst to join a growing Consumer team based in NYC.
Responsibilities
- Generate insights to identify attractive investment opportunities and make recommendations to the portfolio manager
- Maintain research coverage of existing holdings
- Build and maintain detailed financial models
- Follow and evaluate industry news, data, and trends
- Develop sector and macro themes, attend conferences, interact with company management teams and industry experts to identify opportunities
- Continuously rank risk/reward of positions, understand investor expectations, monitor sentiment and positioning around upcoming catalysts
- Review company drivers; evaluate management strategy, industry dynamics, and competitor positioning; assess intrinsic value and business quality
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience as an equity research analyst on buy side and/or sell side
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- Ability to consume, distill large quantities of information and develop insights from vast sources of information, including research reports, industry news, daily news publications, company press releases, etc.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills
- High levels of curiosity, integrity, and passion for financial markets
This role requires commuting into our NYC Office 5 days per week, Mondays through Fridays.
Base Salary Range
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $125,000 to $150,000. The anticipated range is based on information as of the time this post was generated. The applicable annual base salary or hourly rate paid to a successful applicant will be determined based on multiple factors, including without limitation the nature and extent of prior experience, skills, and qualifications.
Base salary or rate does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
