Digital Twin Engineering Intern

Austin, Texas, United States

About the job

Spend your summer building digital twins of the labs behind next-generation AI systems.

As a Digital Twin Engineering Intern, you will support virtual models of data lab spaces, equipment and infrastructure during a 12-week, full-time summer internship.

You will help turn engineering information into accurate 3D scenes and reusable digital assets. Your work will support teams developing and testing advanced AI compute systems in Austin.

You will create models, integrate facilities data, check accuracy and document your approach. You will also compare digital twins with drawings, layouts, records and physical environments.

This internship is built for students who enjoy practical engineering and visual problem-solving. You will learn from experienced engineers while building skills across digital twins, 3D data and technical documentation.

The team and culture

The Digital Twin Engineering team connects physical infrastructure with virtual tools. Work happens through clear modeling tasks, engineering data, structured reviews and feedback from experienced engineers.

You will gather information from engineers and stakeholders, then turn it into usable digital twin assets. Accuracy matters, and decisions are guided by drawings, records, measurements and real lab conditions.

The team values curiosity, organization and people who ask questions early. You will have defined work, regular guidance and the chance to improve how virtual lab environments are built.
