The Role
The Senior Finance Manager – APAC will be responsible for overseeing the finance operations of Graphcore's APAC entities, initially India and Taiwan. Based in Bangalore, this role will provide financial leadership across the region while partnering closely with outsourced accounting providers, the UK Group Finance team and local business leaders.
This is a broad, hands-on finance leadership role with responsibility for financial governance, statutory compliance, payroll oversight, treasury, business partnering and internal controls across the region. Whilst transactional accounting and local bookkeeping activities are performed by external service providers, the Senior Finance Manager retains ownership for the quality and integrity of the financial information, ensuring local accounting complies with Group policies and statutory requirements.
The role will oversee monthly reporting from the outsourced accounting providers, manage the integration of local financial information into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for Group reporting, and support the continued development of scalable finance processes and controls as Graphcore expands across APAC.
Reporting to the VP Finance in the UK, this position will work closely with the wider Global Finance team, People, Facilities and local leadership to ensure Finance provides an outstanding service to the business.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Operations & Governance
- Manage the relationship with outsourced finance providers in India and Taiwan, ensuring agreed service levels are delivered.
- Review and approve monthly management accounts prepared by external accounting providers.
- Ensure local accounting complies with Group accounting policies and statutory requirements.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and oversee resolution of accounting issues.
- Act as the finance lead for the APAC entities, ensuring robust governance and financial control.
Group Reporting
- Coordinate monthly financial reporting from local accounting providers.
- Prepare and post monthly journals into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to record the financial results of the APAC entities within the Group accounts.
- Reconcile local statutory accounts to Group reporting.
- Support month-end close activities and Group reporting requirements.
- Support future integration of APAC entities into the Group ERP environment.
Statutory Compliance, Payroll & Treasury
- Oversee statutory accounting, tax compliance and regulatory reporting across the APAC entities.
- Manage relationships with external accountants, payroll providers, tax advisers and auditors.
- Working with the People team, review and approve monthly payroll prepared by local payroll providers prior to processing.
- Oversee banking relationships, cash management and treasury activities including review and approval of payment runs.
- Ensure all statutory filings and compliance obligations are completed accurately and on time.
Business Partnering & Local Support
- Act as the primary Finance point of contact for the India and Taiwan entities, supporting employees, managers and local leadership.
- Partner closely with the People team on payroll, employee lifecycle activities, benefits administration and other finance-related people matters.
- Work collaboratively with Facilities and Workplace teams to support office operations, vendor management and local expenditure.
- Provide guidance to employees on Company finance policies, including travel, expenses, purchasing and procurement.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning for the APAC entities.
- Provide commercial insight and financial guidance to support business decision-making.
Financial Controls & Process Improvement
- Design, implement and maintain local financial controls to complement Group policies and meet local statutory requirements.
- Develop controls for locally managed assets, including fixed asset registers, asset tracking and periodic verification.
- Ensure appropriate approval workflows exist for purchasing, expenses, payroll and payments.
- Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, documentation and reporting.
- Support finance transformation initiatives, including future ERP implementation and process automation.
Global Finance Collaboration
- Act as the primary liaison between the APAC entities and the UK Group Finance team.
- Support Group audits and other corporate finance initiatives.
- Share best practice and contribute to the ongoing development of the global finance function.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- 6+ years' post-qualified experience, ideally within an international technology, semiconductor or engineering organisation.
- Experience managing or overseeing outsourced accounting providers or shared service finance operations.
- Strong knowledge of statutory accounting, financial reporting and internal controls.
- Experience working with multinational organisations and multiple legal entities.
- Experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a comparable ERP system would be advantageous.
- Strong Excel and financial analysis skills.
- Experience working with external auditors, tax advisers and payroll providers.
- Experience supporting month-end reporting and Group consolidations.
- Experience in designing or using agentic workflows to improve finance processes would also be highly beneficial.

Occasional travel within APAC and to the UK may be required.
