About the Role
As a Platform Engineer on the Infrastructure Team, you’ll be responsible for managing our internal platforms that enable our developers to build, deploy and manage applications efficiently, streamlining the software development cycle. You’ll also take the initiative to explore and automate different ways to resolve an issue, and systematically find the most efficient and effective way to do it. 

As a key member of the Infrastructure Team, you’ll:

• Be responsible for managing the on-prem and cloud-based server fleet.
• Tuning and optimization of both the OS and hardware
• Work closely with the various developer teams to ensure applications run optimally
• Automate as much as possible
• Improve the current monitoring stack

We’d love for you to have:

• Advanced knowledge of Linux (CentOS/RHEL 7x,8x preferred), focused on automation, systems engineer and performance tuning
• Performance benchmarking
• Knowledge of Low latency networking, onload (Solarflare/Xilinx)
• Experience with system tuning tools like perf
• Fluency with scripting languages (bash, python, ruby)
• Working knowledge of the network protocols
• Experience with configuration management tools (puppet, ansible, chef)

It will be highly useful if you have prior experience in the following technologies:

• Configuration management tools like Puppet/Chef/Ansible
• Containerization
• Google Cloud Platform
• Kubernetes
• C++ toolchain (gcc, clang, cmake, conan)
