Technology Intern | Spring 2025

Grassroots Analytics' mission is to provide innovative data solutions to amplify forward-thinking voices, causes, and people.

Grassroots Analytics (“GA”) maintains a detailed database on more than 20 million active American donors, including data on net worth, ideological preferences, political donation history, non-profit donation history, demographics, and contact information. 

Technology - Interns will join GA’s technical teams building our analyst/client facing database querying and analysis tools and data ingestion platforms. 

Qualifications:

• College student or recent graduate
• Background in Computer Science

Responsibilities will include: 

• Manage the complete software development process from conception to deployment
• Collaborate with other team members to achieve shared goals
• Building and maintaining new features for our analyst and client data tools
• Building and maintaining new data ingestion pipelines
• Communicating new releases internally and externally for users
• Design solutions to complicated platform and data problems
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software 
• Design and perform data analysis on our proprietary data set

Requested skills and experience: 

• Exposure to some of the technologies and frameworks:
• Python, Django, Flask, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Node, Vue, Docker, Airflow, SQL, Postgres, Google Cloud Platform, Firebase, Git, CICD
• Some statistical modeling experience
• Strong communication skills
• Willingness to learn and be a team player

This internship pays $17.50/hr for seniors and graduates plus a relocation stipend for those coming from outside the DMV area. For all others, the intern will receive a $2,000 stipend. The program will run from January 27th, to April 18th, 2025, with the opportunity to continue in the winter based on performance.
