Campaigns Account Manager

Grassroots Analytics (“GA”) maintains a detailed database on more than 20 million active American donors, including data on net worth, ideological preferences, political donation history, non-profit donation history, demographics, and contact information. 

Grassroots Analytics is seeking a Campaigns Account Manager to expand our impact and grow the number of political campaigns within a specific region and market segment using GA’s data and fundraising solutions. This role is ideal for someone passionate about political strategy, relationship building, and empowering progressive campaigns up and down the ballot. The Campaigns Account Manager will work closely with our sales, marketing, and product teams to identify new opportunities, cultivate relationships, and convert leads into long-term clients.

Responsibilities:

Targeting & Engaging Campaigns (40%)

  • Develop a deep understanding of the political landscape within your assigned region, focusing on opportunities to support down-ballot campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the Revenue and Campaign Strategy teams to align outreach efforts and avoid duplication.
  • Lead the strategy and prioritization of client targets, continually exploring new outreach methods to convert prospects into clients.
  • Identify and attend key conferences, sponsorship opportunities, and other events to promote GA’s brand and increase awareness of our impact.

Converting Interest to Sales (30%)

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of GA’s suite of services to confidently answer client questions and demonstrate how we can meet their unique needs.
  • Present GA’s offerings with enthusiasm and clarity, effectively communicating the value proposition of our data-driven products and fundraising solutions.
  • Drive the sales process from initial contact to contract signing, ensuring clients are connected to the appropriate product delivery teams.

Cultivating Consultant Relationships (20%)

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with political consultants and firms who can provide ongoing referrals.
  • Proactively expand your network of consultants and firms, ensuring that relationships are nurtured and handed off seamlessly if transitioning out of the role.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to consultants and firms, showcasing the value GA can bring to their clients.

Client Onboarding & Account Management (10%)

  • Facilitate smooth onboarding for new clients by coordinating with internal teams and ensuring all contractual and invoicing details are up to date.
  • Utilize project management software to maintain a living record of client status, communications, and needs, providing transparency across verticals.

Qualifications:


The ideal candidate for the Campaigns Account Manager role will:

  • Have 1-2 years of experience in political campaign fundraising, strategy, or account management.
  • Possess a strong understanding of the political landscape, particularly at the state and local levels.
  • Be a skilled relationship builder with the ability to cultivate and maintain a broad network of consultants and clients.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex solutions in an accessible manner.
  • Be highly organized, capable of managing multiple accounts, and adept at using project management tools.
  • Have a passion for progressive causes and a desire to support candidates from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation:
The expected salary range for this position is $50,000–$70,000, which includes base salary and commission. This role also comes with a competitive benefits package. This is a full-time, in-office position based in our office in Chinatown at 806 7th St NW, Washington, D.C. 20001.
