Operations Manager/Director

Grassroots Analytics (“GA”) maintains a detailed database on more than 20 million active American donors, including data on net worth, ideological preferences, political donation history, non-profit donation history, demographics, and contact information. 

Role Overview

Grassroots Analytics is seeking a strategic thinker to join our operations team and ensure GA operates smoothly. The Operations Manager/Director will build and maintain scalable systems to support our long-term development plan. A successful candidate will be detail-oriented, adaptable, and have skill in bird’s eye view planning. They will report to the COO. 

Areas of Responsibilities

Finance & Accounting (45%)

Invoicing, accounts payable, and general bookkeeping

Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes

Budget management and analysis

Manage communication with Revenue team around AR

Support finance projects in collaboration with Revenue team

Support payroll in collaboration with Controller 

Internal Systems Management (40%)

Maintain work management software and oversee associated automations

Work with GTM team for systems support as needed

General Operations (15%)

Support internal compliance teams and projects

Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations/communication

Qualifications

We are open to hiring at a Manager or Director level, depending on the candidate’s experience. 

Operations Manager: 3+ years of experience in operations, finance, or a related field
Director of Operations: 5+ years of experience in operations, finance, or a related field

  • Experience with invoicing, bookkeeping software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero), financial reporting, and stock/equity management tools (e.g. Carta)
  • Knowledgeable about work/project management tools and supportive technology (e.g. Asana, Monday.com, Confluence, Zapier)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to explain systemic decisions
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
  • A proactive, problem-solving approach without losing sight of sustainability

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is 

$65,000 to $75,000 at a Manager level
$85,000 to $95,000 at a Director level

This role also comes with a competitive benefits package. This is a full-time, in-office position based in our office in Chinatown at 806 7th St NW, Washington, D.C. 20001.
