We are looking for a Vice President of Engineering to join our team! We are looking for someone who has led multiple engineering teams and is excited about building a cutting edge platform for private market dealmaking. With strong engineering leadership, great system designs and product vision, they will accelerate Grata and drive product growth.
Grata is a hybrid company, which means our employees work from our NYC office (near Bryant Park) on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
At Grata, we will expect you to:
- Drive technical strategy, team design, and product delivery
- Drive operational excellence by establishing clear metrics and efficient lightweight processes
- Prioritize and balance short and long term engineering investments
- Build, onboard and up-skill top engineers and managers
- Create compelling personalized career paths for engineers on the team
- Partner with Product to develop our long term product strategy and roadmap
- Coordinate work across multiple engineering teams and other groups
- Expand on our collaborative, inclusive engineering culture
What we are looking for:
- Deep experience as an engineering leader of a high growth SaaS startup
- Experience hiring, managing, and training top engineers in an high scale environment
- Experience coaching engineering managers and leads
- Experience managing multiple teams and coordinating high velocity engineering efforts
- Strong technical experience with data/search/distributed technologies/high scale SaaS/etc
- Strong team management skills
- CS / Engineering degree or equivalent work experience
- Based in NYC (or willing to relocate) - we tend to do M, Tu, Th in office and W, F remote

Grata is committed to providing competitive cash compensation and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in New York City, the estimated base salary for this role is $250,000 - $300,000 per year.
