Overview

As Grata continues our rapid growth and expansion we are looking for a player-coach to lead our Investor segment team. In this role, you will build on our current success by driving consistent performance through both your and your team’s outperformance of quota via active coaching and participation in deals. As a part of our fast-growing sales team, you should be a firm believer in our unique product offering and a master of financial SaaS selling.

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join sales leadership as Grata continues taking market share and expanding our reach.  In this role you will help set sales strategy, take ownership of the growth of your team, drive results and grow as a leader. As a key member of our sales leadership team, you'll do the following:

  • Team Lead: Manage and lead a team of Account Executives and Business Development Representatives, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Quota Achievement: As a player-coach, you carry your quota as well as the team quota, ensuring monthly and quarterly achievement and driving the team to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Coaching & Support: Provide support and coaching to each Account Executive and Business Development Representative on their deals, business development, and challenges, helping them overcome obstacles and grow.
  • Collaborate: In partnership with the Sales Director, develop territory plans, sales targets, and tactical campaigns to maximize your team's results.
    • Additionally, work with our customer success, marketing, and product management teams to provide input to our company’s development
  • Hiring & Onboarding: Manage the onboarding process for new team members, ensuring they have the necessary resources and ramp successfully
  • Process / Cadence Development: Build data-driven sales processes that can be force-multiplied across the team to increase production consistency. 
  • Sales Initiatives: Initiate and implement relevant sales initiatives to strengthen the team, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Become a voice of customers for your segment through the development of senior decision-maker relationships across the territory.

About you:

  • 3+ years of full cycle SaaS sales experience - must
  • 1+ year of management or player-coach experience - encouraged 
  • You trust your ability to succeed and are excited by the substantial rewards of leveraging your experience to lead a team to consistent outperformance
  • You know our market segments. You’ve sold into the private equity, corporate development, investment banking,  alternative investment spaces with a track record of individual success 
  • You lead by example and have an elevated standard of excellence for yourself and those around you
  • Time management is one of your core talents allowing you to prioritize your efforts across the varied demands on it in this the role
  • Strong customer-facing and presentation skills with ability to establish credibility with executive buyers
  • Experience negotiating and navigating contracts and legal discussions
  • You're excited about joining a rapidly expanding company 
  • You're thoughtful, responsive, and selfless, a celebrator and an optimist
  • You’re local to NYC, and comfortable with our flexible hybrid in-office environment (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays in-office days)
  • Self-starter, Result-oriented, high energy, adaptable and inquisitive
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with Sales software such as Hubspot, SalesForce, Gong, Salesloft, etc.
  • BA and/or MBA; or equivalent relevant work experience

The total compensation range for this role is targeted at $180,000 to $225,000, inclusive of a variable pay based on goals and target attainment.
