Outside Sales Representative - Hawaii (Bilingual Korean)

Success in this role looks like:

  • New Business: Generate 4 to 6 new business opportunities per month upon full ramp.
  • Daily Activity: Maintain a disciplined field presence with 30+ business stops and 5 proactive account health check-ins daily.
  • Retention: Minimizing portfolio churn by proactively executing 5 daily "Know Your Customer" (KYC) check-ins to triage technical or operational issues before they escalate. 

Core Responsibilities

Sales:

  • Identify, prospect, and set appointments, and run the Gravity sales process with new prospects through fast-paced B2B prospecting primarily in the field and occasionally on the phone (targeting both English-speaking and Korean-speaking business sectors).
  • Facilitate an education-based, transparent decision-making process with potential clients.
  • Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets.
  • Increase the number of active merchants and strengthen our overall ability to serve local businesses.

Account Management:

  • Manage a portfolio of merchant accounts by prioritizing and building deep relationship trust.
  • Through proactive outreach, positively impact retention, generate community referrals, and create opportunities for additional revenue.
  • Effectively triage with other internal departments when clients experience terminal difficulties or operational issues.
  • Perform rate reviews, financial evaluations, and contract renewals.
  • Reach out to inactive merchant accounts to restore partnerships.
  • Participate in weekly strategy meetings, hurdles reviews, and mock role-plays to develop the team's skill sets.
  • Facilitate account maintenance in person, virtually, or over the phone as needed.
  • Install payment processing equipment and assist with specialized language configurations or training (1-2 hours per setup).
  • Visit partnered local bank branches weekly to capture community referrals.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in outside sales, customer support, account management, or a customer-facing role.

Additional Requirements

  • Bilingual Requirement: Must have full professional fluency in both English AND Korean to seamlessly support our diverse client portfolios and internal teams. 
  • Must have access to a wired internet connection and access to at least a 25 megabits per second (mbps) download and 20 mbps upload speed connection.

The salary for this position is $80,000 - $85,000. We may be open to negotiating outside of this range if the desired salary aligns with the needs of the candidate and the company.
