Quant Developer, Digital Assets

Role Overview:
Grayscale is seeking a talented Quant Developer with a passion for crypto and coding. You will be instrumental in building and maintaining a robust data platform, automating advanced trading strategies, and conducting in-depth strategy research. The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong passion for innovation, proficiency in working with blockchain data, and contribute to the establishment of a 'self-serve' data platform and product strategy pipeline at Grayscale.

Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain analytical tools to monitor the digital assets market.
• Develop and enhance systematic strategies, providing insights to the Portfolio Management & Trading team.
• Construct a scalable research infrastructure, including alpha research and risk modeling.
• Analyze portfolio positioning, performance drivers, and risk exposures.
• Maintain the performance dashboard for Grayscale Dynamic Income Fund (GDIF) and other actively managed products.
• Develop automation tools for trading strategies and trading algorithms.
• Conduct thorough backtesting of systematic trading strategies to ensure reliability and performance.

Prior Experience/Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, Data Science, or a related field from a top-tier institution.
• Strong full-stack quant developer skills, with proficiency in API solutions, Python, SQL and the ability to tackle financial modeling.
• Enthusiasm and passion for crypto space; prior experience is a plus, but exceptional skills and alignment with our mission are paramount.
• Experience with blockchain data structures and analytics platforms like Dune Analytics, Flipside Crypto, and Defillama.
• Strong drive and high standards to produce excellent results, with a proven track record.
• Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
• Team oriented with desire to learn from and share knowledge with others.
