Lead Warehouse Technician

The Role

The Lead Warehouse Technician is a peer leader and maintains the day to day warehouse operations for the facility and is managed by the Supply Chain Planner.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the scheduling, tracking, and distribution of incoming raw materials and packaging
  • Audit and report inventory while making recommendations on which items to order and restock
  • Act in a lead capacity to warehouse technicians, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment
  • Collaborate with manager to create warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse
  • Collaborate with site management, supervisors, and leads
  • Monitor workplace performance and train warehouse technicians to effectively perform their duties
  • Work closely with Supply Chain to meet objectives and address service-related issues
  • Monitor and maintain proper inventory levels by evaluating usage and communicating with Supply Chain team on a regular basis as well as manage physical inventory process
  • Inform manager on processing and/or employee problems which may require their attention or knowledge
  • Understand and maintain compliance with all state laws and/or regulations that affect Green Thumb operations
  • Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP and HACCP guidelines, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect product safety, product quality or personnel safety
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Working Conditions

  • Work involves daily exposure to allergens (such as cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil).

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or Certifications preferred
  • 2+ years of Warehouse or similar experience; leadership experience a plus
  • Certification to operate a forklift, or the ability to get certified within 3 months of hire
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards and guidelines
  • Exceptional computer skills in Microsoft® Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word). Basic ERP experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills
  • Able to train and motivate department personnel in a fair and consistent manner
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to communicate effectively before groups, customers/vendors or employees
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks and problem solve effectively
  • Operate with a high level of professionalism and integrity
  • Detail-oriented and resourceful mindset
  • Solid understanding of the Cannabis laws, rules and regulations and passion to further their understanding and knowledge of the industry and the laws

Additional Requirements

  • Must pass any and all required background checks
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
  • Must possess valid driver’s license
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry
