Influence & Affiliate Manager

Chicago, Illinois, United States

The Role

As a member of the Brand Equity & Activation Team, the Influencer & Affiliate Manager will build and own influencer and affiliate marketing programs across Green Thumb's full brand portfolio including our core cannabis brands (Rythm, Dogwalkers, Incredibles, Beboe, Good Green, and more), our dispensary brand RISE, and our beverage brands Señorita and Rythm Beverage. They will work collaboratively with social media and community managers, brand marketing, creative, compliance, and external partners to develop cutting edge and platform compliant creator partnerships that authentically grow brand awareness, community, and sales.

We're looking for a relationship-driven, strategically minded influencer marketing expert who understands how to elevate the right voices around each brand - and how to turn those partnerships into measurable business results. You know the influencer space inside and out: the creators, the platforms, the tools, the deals, and the pitfalls. Bonus if you're already experienced in cannabis and/or wellness culture.

This is a hybrid role requiring in office 2 days per week (Tues/Thurs usually) at our Chicago (River North) office.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute influencer and affiliate marketing strategies across Green Thumb's full brand portfolio - spanning core cannabis brands, RISE dispensaries, and beverage brands Señorita and Rythm Beverage.
  • Identify, vet, and recruit influencer and affiliate partners aligned to each brand's voice, audience, and goals.
  • Manage end-to-end influencer relationships: outreach, contracting, briefing, content review, publishing, and performance tracking.
  • Build and manage an affiliate program infrastructure, including partner recruitment, link and promo code management, commission structures, and payout tracking.
  • Collaborate with the social media, brand, and creative teams to ensure influencer content aligns with campaign strategies and brand guidelines across all brands.
  • Develop content briefs and parameters that give creators room to be authentic while staying on-brand and compliant with state-level cannabis marketing regulations.
  • Own and report on influencer and affiliate KPIs - reach, engagement, conversions, EMV, and ROI - with regular performance reports across brands.
  • Conduct ongoing competitive audits of influencer and affiliate activity across the cannabis, dispensary, and beverage landscapes.
  • Stay current on FTC disclosure requirements, platform policies, and state-level cannabis marketing regulations to ensure all partnerships remain compliant.
  • Manage influencer and affiliate budgets across brands and campaigns with accuracy and accountability.

Qualifications

  • You have 2-4+ years of experience in influencer and/or affiliate marketing, preferably within cannabis, beverage, wellness, or lifestyle consumer brands.
  • You are fluent in influencer and affiliate platforms, such as Sprout Social, AspireIQ, Grin or similar tools.
  • You are a skilled relationship builder who can identify the right partners, earn their trust, and sustain productive long-term collaborations across a diverse brand portfolio.
  • You understand performance marketing fundamentals - you know how to set goals, track results, and optimize programs based on real data.
  • You can write compelling outreach and creative briefs that attract high-quality creators and set partnerships up for success.
  • You can manage a portfolio of partners and campaigns simultaneously, balancing speed with attention to detail and regulatory compliance.
  • You are up on creator culture - who's up-and-coming, who's authentic, and what's resonating across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Reddit.
  • You can roll with the regulatory nuances of cannabis marketing and can navigate compliance requirements without killing creative momentum.
  • You have a good sense of humor. You know how to find and brief creators who can build brand love authentically and have fun doing it.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to travel to work events, which may occur on evenings and/or weekends. Expected travel = 10-15%.
  • Must pass any and all required background checks
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry
