Application Analyst
The Role
The Application Analyst serves as the primary requirements and product analyst on the Applications Team, bridging business and technology for GTI's Ordering and CPG operations. This role is responsible for eliciting and documenting business needs, authoring user stories, and driving delivery across the application lifecycle. This role will report to the Senior Manager of Applications.
This is a remote position. Chicagoland area candidates are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead structured requirements gathering sessions including workshops, interviews, and process walkthroughs with cross-functional stakeholders across Ordering, CPG Operations, and Finance
- Facilitate meetings with Technology and Business leaders to develop needs and requirements, coordinating between business partners and IT to ensure projects stay on schedule and on track
- Author and maintain user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria, owning the product backlog and coordinating grooming sessions with business and technical leads
- Translate business needs into functional specifications, process flow diagrams, and integration documentation for Ordering and CPG platforms
- Serve as the primary liaison between business partners and Development Team, managing scope, risk, and project status throughout the SDLC
- Develop and maintain comprehensive application documentation including technical specs, integration maps, configuration guides, and operational runbooks
- Support CPG and Ordering operations and integration projects, ensuring data integrity, clear requirements, and outcomes are documented throughout
- Support Level 3 application triage by capturing issue requirements and working with technical teams to define resolution criteria
- Partner with business stakeholders to define MVP scope, establish launch readiness criteria, and maintain a phased roadmap for future capability delivery.
- Collaborate with the development team on sprint planning and release sequencing, ensuring business priorities are reflected in delivery timelines and dependencies are proactively managed.
Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience in a professional environment supporting Manufacturing Operations
- Demonstrated history of thinking critically to investigate and resolve issues and advance improvements to other opportunities
- Strong technical background and comfort troubleshooting reported issues, bugs, and comfort documenting and testing in a technical environment
- Project management and organization skills to manage own projects and maintain visibility of project status to involved stakeholders
- Experience interacting with and technically supporting Order Management, CPG, ERP, and related operational systems a plus
- Experience with highly regulated industries a plus
- Experience authoring and updating application process flow diagrams as well as architectural application integration diagrams a plus
- Deep understanding of supported business domain and the technical systems, capabilities, and integrations that underpin it
- Partner with business stakeholders to define MVP scope, establish launch readiness criteria, and maintain a phased roadmap for future capability delivery.
- Collaborate with the development team on sprint planning and release sequencing, ensuring business priorities are reflected in delivery timelines and dependencies are proactively managed.
- Experience leveraging AI tools such as Claude to assist with requirements documentation, user story generation, and application mockup creation a plus

- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
- Must possess valid driver’s license
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry

The pay range is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and/or location of the role. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
Green Thumb Pay Range
$75,000 - $85,000 USD
