Position Summary:
As the sole UX/UI expert on a high-stakes digital team, you will be responsible for end-to-end design across our mobile app, mobile website, and desktop eCommerce platform. Your work will directly influence key performance metrics such as conversion rates, average order value (AOV), and customer retention. You will leverage your extensive experience in eCommerce design, data-driven decision making (using tools like Google Analytics), and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) to deliver seamless and engaging user experiences that support Greenworks’ ambitious growth roadmap.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. End-to-End UX/UI Strategy & Design Ownership:
•    Holistic Design Leadership: Define, execute, and continuously refine the UX/UI vision and strategy for mobile, web, and desktop channels to align with overall business goals.
•    Scalable Design Systems: Develop and maintain a unified, scalable design system that ensures brand consistency and usability across all digital platforms.
•    User-First Approach: Advocate for a user-centered design philosophy by seamlessly integrating user research, usability testing, and iterative design practices.
2. Digital & eCommerce Experience Design:
•    Mobile App & Web Optimization: Create engaging, responsive designs for mobile apps (iOS & Android) and mobile websites that simplify user journeys and drive conversion.
•    Desktop eCommerce Excellence: Design intuitive and frictionless experiences on our desktop platform, optimizing navigation, product discovery, and checkout flows.
•    Shopify & Platform Expertise: Utilize Shopify and related eCommerce technologies to integrate seamless shopping experiences (experience with Shopify is a plus).
3. Data-Driven Design & Optimization:
•    Analytics & Metrics: Leverage Google Analytics and other data platforms to monitor user behavior, identify opportunities, and optimize digital experiences.
•    Conversion Rate Optimization: Implement CRO best practices by analyzing A/B tests, heatmaps, and other user feedback tools to continuously enhance user flows and boost conversions.
•    Quantitative & Qualitative Research: Combine qualitative insights from user testing and interviews with quantitative data to inform design decisions and validate design hypotheses.
4. Prototyping & Iterative Design:
•    Rapid Prototyping: Build wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to effectively communicate design ideas and user journeys.
•    User Testing: Plan and execute usability studies and A/B tests to gather feedback, iterate on designs, and ensure the highest level of usability and customer satisfaction.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
•    Leadership in a Collaborative Environment: Act as the sole UX/UI advocate while working closely with product managers, engineers, marketing, and executive leadership.
•    Clear Communication: Present and articulate design strategies, concepts, and prototypes to stakeholders, ensuring alignment between business objectives and user experience.
•    Agile & Collaborative Workflows: Participate in Agile ceremonies, design sprints, and cross-departmental workshops to foster a culture of innovation and rapid iteration.
6. Technical & Professional Expertise:
•    Experience: 7+ years in UX/UI design with demonstrable expertise in eCommerce, digital channels, and SaaS platforms.
•    Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
•    Design Tools: Mastery of industry-standard design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision).
•    Analytics Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, A/B testing tools, and other analytics platforms to inform design decisions.
•    Ecommerce & CRO: Proven ability to design for high-traffic eCommerce platforms with a focus on conversion rate optimization and data-driven improvements.
7. Leadership & Soft Skills:
•    Autonomous Leader: Thrive in a high-impact role with the ability to independently drive the UX/UI function across a multi-channel digital ecosystem.
•    Strategic Thinker: Ability to balance big-picture vision with hands-on execution, adapting quickly in a fast-paced environment.
•    Excellent Communicator: Strong presentation and storytelling skills to effectively convey design rationale to diverse audiences.
•    Problem Solver: Proactive, analytical, and adaptable with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating innovative digital experiences.
