
Transportation Analyst

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Freight Analyst to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring carrier compliance, managing freight claims, auditing carrier invoices, and overseeing fleet driver qualification compliance. This role is pivotal in maintaining the efficiency and integrity of our transportation operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Carrier Compliance:
• Monitor and ensure all carriers adhere to contractual agreements and company policies.
• Conduct regular audits of carrier performance and compliance metrics.
• Collaborate with carriers to address and rectify compliance issues.
• Freight Claims Management:
• Investigate and process freight claims related to loss, damage, or discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of all claims and their resolutions.
• Work closely with carriers and internal teams to expedite claim settlements.
• Carrier Invoice Auditing:
• Review and verify carrier invoices for accuracy and compliance with agreed-upon rates and services.
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies or overcharges.
• Ensure timely processing of payments to carriers.
• Fleet Driver Qualification Compliance:
• Maintain and update records of fleet driver qualifications, certifications, and training.
• Ensure all drivers meet company and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with the safety and HR departments to address any compliance gaps.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or a related area.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with freight auditing and claims processing.
• Knowledge of carrier compliance regulations and standards.
• Understanding of fleet management and driver qualification requirements.
