
Quality Lead

Position Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
The Quality Lead is responsible for overseeing daily quality operations while leading and developing a high-performing team within a fast-paced operational environment.
This role serves as a hands-on leader, spending the majority of time on the production floor supporting employees, driving quality performance, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and coordinating cross-functional activities to improve product quality and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop the quality team to achieve operational and quality objectives.
- Spend approximately 90% of time on the production floor engaging with team members.
- Build strong working relationships across departments and service providers.
- Oversee daily tasks based on individual team member skills and workload priorities.
- Promote a collaborative, safety-focused, and continuous improvement culture.
Quality Operations
- Perform and oversee quality audits ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Identify, document, and report quality complaints and non-conformances.
- Assist with quality rework activities and improvement projects.
- Monitor productivity and quality performance metrics.
- Provide feedback to Supervisor/Manager of daily activities.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure work is completed according to company safety policies and governing regulations.
- Maintain compliance related to:
- Hazardous material handling
- Lift truck and PIT safety
- Operational security standards
Equipment & Operational Support
- Operate and train employees on Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) including:
- Forklifts
- Pallet jacks
- Other material handling equipment
- Support operational needs as required.
- Travel occasionally (<10%) to support quality rework initiatives at other locations.
Work Schedule & Physical Requirements
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs require.
- Frequent standing, walking, and engagement on the production floor.
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 1 year of leadership experience in an operations or warehouse environment.
- Experience in reconditioning or rework operations preferred.
- Strong technical aptitude and analytical problem-solving ability.
- Ability to collect data, analyze trends, and draw valid conclusions.
- Proven ability to lead teams while fostering teamwork and accountability.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Computer proficiency in:
- Microsoft Excel
- Word
- Outlook
- PowerPoint
- Knowledge of PIT operations and safety standards.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
