Position Summary:

The Parts Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of the Spare parts operations in Morristown, TN.  The Parts Specialist will maintain high levels of accuracy in the day-to-day operations and provide impeccable customer service to our customers.  The goal will be to increase operational efficiency and ensure a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the demand team in forecasting high velocity parts to maintain optimal inventory and service levels.
  • Monitor life cycle of parts and ensuring forecast and or MRP controllers are set for all items.
  • Cycle count all spare parts, A’s once a month, B’s every 2 months, C’s every 3 months and D’s every 6 months.
  • Receive parts, including put away and ensuring all systematic transactions are completed and each item is correctly labeled and packaged. Inspect all inbound shipments for damages and shortages and report to the supply team.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure all shipments are shipped in a timely manner while optimizing best cost solutions.
  • Keeping stock control systems up to date and ensuring inventory accuracy.
  • Understand and manage key performance metrics as set by leadership team.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a part of a team.
  • Available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed.
  • May perform other duties as required.

 

Experience Required:

  • The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of prior Spare parts work experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to express well-reasoned, independent thought.
  • High level of organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Strong work ethic, analytical, understands how to manage people effectively and leads by example.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a part of a team.
  • Preferable SAP and/or EWM knowledge.
