Chief Financial Officer 

Greybull Stewardship is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for one of its portfolio companies, Grand Welcome. Grand Welcome is the premier franchisor in the short-term vacation rental industry. Combining cutting-edge technology, deep local market expertise, and a customer-first mindset to deliver exceptional value to homeowners, guests, and franchise partners alike. With aggressive growth goals and a focus on sustainable profitability, we are seeking a strategic and hands-on CFO to play a critical role shaping financial strategy, optimizing unit economics, and driving performance across both corporate and franchise operations.

Reporting to the CEO, the CFO directs and oversees all aspects of the company’s financial activities, planning and tracking systems, day-to day transaction oversight, financial analysis and strategy. 

CFO Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Hospitality, Property Management or Real Estate.
  • Preferred Short Term Rental industry experience.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct and Guesty PMS system.
  • Experience with franchising or multi-unit real estate.
  • Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems.
  • Hands-on experience developing and managing data analytics, dashboard and visualization tools.

 

CFO Requirements:

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in financial management leadership with increasing responsibilities.
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Financial Modeling Skills.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required.
  • Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.

 

CFO Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • This position offers remote work flexibility, with in-person travel twice annually.
  • Core responsibilities include Accounts Payable, Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Financial Analysis, and Treasury.
  • Provide strategic management of the finance function. Develop and maintain accounting policies, standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and internal controls.
  • Develop and manage the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process and ensure results relative to forecasts, budgets, and projections.
  • Develop KPI’s and provide detailed analysis of financial performance.
  • Treasury functions include detailed cash management and relationship management with banking and merchant account partners.
  • Partner with the CEO to develop and execute on business strategies that maximize the company’s enterprise value. 
  • Be an active contributor on the leadership team. 
  • Ensure data reliability and create a cadence for collecting and analyzing business financials from Franchise Owners.
  • Maintain a properly-skilled and sized team that allows the business to scale efficiently.
  • Direct the preparation of all financial statements including monthly reporting to the Board of Directors.
  • Liaise with and support sales, operations, and product development staff by providing financial information and analysis, as required.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial and tax reporting requirements.
  • Manage and oversee the annual audits, tax return preparation, and relationship with independent auditors.
