OBJECTIVE
We are looking for a passionate Events Manager to join our Marketing Team. In this role, you will help us produce best-in-class events for our key stakeholders to enhance our Greycroft brand and build relationships. Our ideal candidate is an excellent multitasker, highly organized, quick-thinking, flexible, and strategic. While collaboration is important in this role, we are looking for someone who can operate autonomously. communicate, and bring creative ideas to the table. This person should be passionate about executing flawless events and be service-oriented by nature, with an eye toward optimizing efficiency and processes across our platform.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with the Head of Events to oversee and coordinate events from ideation to completion
- Work closely with internal teams to understand event requirements, goals, and expectations to deliver best-in-class events
- Develop event concepts and ensure execution aligns with objectives and timelines. Manage calendars, schedules and deadlines for multiple events
- Research, recommend, create, and keep up-to-date venue and vendor database
- Source, negotiate, and manage vendors, including caterers, decorators, AV providers, transportation, and others
- Manage event budgets, documents, and contracts, track expenses, and ensure events are executed within budget, considering cost-effective solutions without compromising quality
- Create event collateral, including invitations and marketing materials using various methods that align with the event and Greycroft brand
- Create, manage, and maintain guest lists & databases, oversee the invite process, track RSVPs, and manage guest communications
- Ensure smooth event execution; handle on-site operations, supervise event set up and tear down, coordinate with vendors, oversee day-of activities, and troubleshoot
- Oversee registration, guest needs, and check-in processes
- Execute event follow-up to include surveys, guest requests, post-event collateral, analytics, and internal team debriefs
- Attend industry events and network to stay current with trends and establish business connections
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 5 years of events management experience within venture capital, early-stage startup, or an agency is a plus
- Experience successfully producing and scaling summits and meetings is a strong plus
- Proficiency in modern software including event management platforms; proficiency in Airtable & Splash is a plus
- Creativity and out-of-the-box thinking with a pulse on up-and-coming venues and event options
- Entrepreneurial with an ownership mindset and ability to move initiatives forward independently
- A team builder and team player who creates loyalty, trust, and following
- Collaborative attitude and desire to contribute outside primary areas of responsibility
- Effective communicator, both written and verbal. Adjusts communication based on the audience and comfortable communicating with top executives
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, time management, and prioritization skills

Base Salary Range: $125,000 - $150,000 (not including bonus)
