Account Director

Grey London are looking for a talented and energetic Account Director to join the team on a fixed-term contract and support the run of the market localisation, production & delivery of deploying assets globally for one of our key brands.

This role is fundamental to the success of the team, as to us, a great Account Director is the backbone of the whole localisation delivery process and ensures correct deployment of the brands strategy and creative across all the worldwide activations.

We look to our Account Directors to bring energy and ownership to the piece of business they lead and take pride in every task set upon them - proactively making things happen with a natural hunger to be part of this amazing industry and delivering for the team & client.


THE ACCOUNT:

Given the ambition, volume and pace of the business, the Account Director would work exclusively on Imperial Tobacco.

This is a fast paced, fully integrated business where creative ambition and push for excellency are key drivers – therefore energy, passion and resilience are at the top of the agenda. It is a strategically-led account, with a new brand strategy, so it’s an exciting time to be coming on-board.  


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Grow & establish your relationships across the entire markets team, including the local agencies and the client – become the “go-to” by adding value, getting things done and supporting everyone in their productions.
  • Connect with network partners and clients to manage markets workload according to guidelines, ensuring accurate phasing is deployed across each quarter.
  • Driving & owning the day to day by leading status meetings and working with the Business Lead and Senior Project Manager to set & deliver timings for projects
  • Contribute to strategic conversations by translating client feedback to accurately brief creatives.
  • Establishing WOW that supports the formation of a new model and team, helping develop & adopt efficient ways of working – both for the agency, the market teams, and the client.
  • Adopt and showcase a strong grasp of process across creative development and production - always anticipating the next step and engaging the relevant team to support.
  • Master the key asset production process and help train colleagues and clients around the world to guide them in their productions.
  • Champion and respect the craft for the agency within Production meetings, whilst ensuring all perspectives & opinions can be voiced to help elevate the work.
  • Leverage your understanding of channel best-practice across POS, Print and online.
  • Build strong internal/agency partners relationships with creative, planning, production and finance.
  • Support as needed with preparing fees, invoicing and tracking financial admin for monthly reporting to Business Director.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Project Management to build a strong working knowledge of regulatory challenges and develop the skills to resolve them.
  • Gain experience in all production processes; from pre production through to final approval.

 

WE NEED SOMEONE WHO:

  • Has demonstrable experience working on and leading multiple campaigns.
  • Brings a proven track record in producing integrated campaigns, with a capacity to take on lots of moving parts and simplify/prioritise.
  • Can showcase strong leadership qualities that help drive the creative process forward, whilst bringing the wider team along with you through compassion & collaboration.
  • Champions & pushes for culturally-meaningful creative work, with a modern shape, across your piece of business.
  • Takes pride at being at centre of your account to ensure you can look ahead to see the bigger picture, whilst remaining close to the day-to-day deliverables.
  • Can influence the agenda and set the tone for meetings by partnering closely with your clients and adopting a coaching role as needed.
  • Brings calm, resilience and decisiveness when dealing with setbacks or challenges.
  • Shows-up with positivity in the face of adversity, remaining energsied & motivated.
  • Remains committed to a diverse client portfolio – straddling different categories and global & domestic work.
  • Stays highly organised across all tasks and is commercially savvy.
  • Has strong written and communication skills, particularly in presentations.
  • Loves to develop and nurture talent, preferably with experience as a line manager.
