Senior Project Manager

London

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join the team on a fixed-term contract and support the running of the market localisation, production & delivery of deploying assets globally for one of our key brands.

You will lead a large scale programme of work with multiple complexities, whilst support with the delivery and budget management. We’ll look to you to bring your expertise to scope & plan with internal stakeholders and usher workstreams through the entire project lifecycle.

In this role, you will help manage multiple teams, internally and externally, navigating project schedules and commitments, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to cross party project stakeholders. Using your extensive management and leadership expertise, you will identify future opportunities, improving processes and driving the direction of the project needs.

 

THE ACCOUNT:

Given the ambition, volume and pace of the business, in this role as Senior Project Manager, you would work exclusively on Imperial Tobacco.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

With a primary focus on operations and commercials, you will need to bring your strategic will be a strategic thinker, client facing and work closely with clients to drive best ways of working for teams.

  • Act as the liaison between local marketing teams and central/global teams, ensuring everyone is aligned on campaign goals, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, while keeping both local and central teams informed of any adjustments.
  • Work closely with creative and media teams across local and central offices to ensure the campaigns are well-coordinated and all resources are used efficiently.
  • Manage complex schedules that involve both internal and external teams, providing frequent progress reports, updates, and status meetings to central and global teams, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Ensure the campaigns meet both local market needs and the global brand guidelines, maintaining consistency in messaging and tone.
  • Multi-task and prioritise activities for quick execution of critical path work items.
  • Take responsibility for the projects to drive them to delivery, working closely with the external production partner(s).
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to manage, track and control project issues to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Oversee and input to the creation of new processes and tools as necessary to support additional needs and requirements of a fast-growing business.
  • Monitoring overall progress, including resolving issues, managing budget, and initiating corrective action as appropriate.
  • Deliver toolkits across multiple workstreams, including TVC, outdoor, social, digital, shopper, 360 brand experience, website content creation, app design and content creation.
  • Collaborate and build relationships with cross-discipline teams including Account Leadership, Planning, Creative & Design and Production.
  • Work closely with the Heads of Department and Resourcing teams across multiple Grey studios to monitor overall resource allocations for the projects.

 

WE NEED SOMEONE WHO HAS:

  • Experience working in a similar role in a fast-paced integrated, creative environment.
  • Excellent communication, project management, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Disciplined PM skills, including risk management, status reporting and familiarity with change management
  • The ability to work well and exert their influence as a member of a highly integrated team.
  • Confidence in building relationships internally, within cross-agency teams and with clients directly.
  • Strong client-facing and negotiation skills, with the ability to tailor your approach & style to the need of the situation.
  • Honesty & openness at their core, working well in a team dynamic and always being open to feedback.
  • The means to inspire & motivate as an effective team manager & leader.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to manage budgets & POs and is comfortable drafting legal documents (e.g. SOWs)
  • Effective estimation and proposal writing.
  • The capability to manage up to senior stakeholders and day-to-day peers, providing essential updates.
  • Exceptional verbal & written communication skills.
