Senior Strategist
THE ROLE:
As a Senior Strategist at Grey London, you'll be a key player partnering with the Planning Partner and Planning Director to deliver impactful strategic direction for an exciting and challenging category. You’ll help develop the strategy across a range of iconic brands, working closely with a demanding but collaborative client. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence consumer behaviour in a newly established market, using strategic thinking to drive adoption of less harmful alternatives.
THE ACCOUNT
At Grey, we offer an exciting client portfolio, and for this role, you'll be working on a restricted category brand. Your key challenge will be navigating a complex regulatory environment while crafting compelling strategies to encourage brand switching. This is a unique opportunity to significantly impact consumer behaviour and shape the future of the category. It's a strategic puzzle with high stakes and even higher rewards.
Beyond your primary focus, you'll have opportunities to contribute to new business pitches and lend your strategic expertise to pro-bono projects for impactful organisations. This variety will keep you challenged and engaged, allowing you to broaden your experience and make a difference.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead strategic planning: Develop and champion brand strategies, communication plans, and go-to-market strategies for the brands portfolio.
- Client partnership: Build strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and providing strategic counsel.
- Agency collaboration: Work seamlessly with creative, account management, and other agency partners to ensure strategic alignment and effective execution.
- Market analysis: Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
- Mentorship: Guide and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
WHO YOU ARE:
- Energised by a love for the work. The opportunity to do great work should be number one. That’s why we, planners, are here, and if it’s not evident when we speak to candidates, we aren’t interested.
- Naturally creative minds. We are looking for strategists who have contributed to or been inspired by award-winning creative work.
- Entrepreneurial. We are not an overly structured agency, just an ambition to get to the best work. We need someone who can find method in the madness, roll with the punches, and drive and direct the team to the best outcome.
- Awards hungry. We are and want to continue to be an award-winning agency at local and global level. Preferred candidates would have either won an APG or similar or have a story around how the strategy for the brands they have worked on won creative awards.
- Nice light soul. We are a small, tight-knit team, truly friends and supportive of each other. We're looking for someone like-minded, open, and collaborative who will thrive in this environment.
- Diversity. It’s critical. We believe in the collision of difference. People with diverse backgrounds and beliefs.
What can you expect from us?
At Grey, you’ll have the opportunity to work at an incredible studio, with some of the most creative and inspired people in the industry, all whilst getting to grow & shape your career with us. We offer a competitive salary, lots of training, plenty of benefits and wellbeing perks too.
Inclusion & Belonging
At Grey, we know that the more diverse the input, the more famous & effective our creativity, ideas and output will be. This belief touches every part of how we work, and so how we welcome new talent to the agency is a huge part of that. We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace and we welcome applications from those who are under-represented in our industry. Every person is valued for their distinctive skills, experiences and perspectives. It is incredibly important to us that we celebrate everything that makes us different and that we create an environment in which everyone can belong, and no one has to cover a part of their identity.
