Operator Skid-Steer/Water Truck

Groome Industrial Service Group is seeking a skilled Operator Skid-Steer Operator/Water Truck to join our team. In this role, you will operate skid-steer equipment to support maintenance and service tasks at a power generation plant. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in operating skid-steer loaders and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate skid-steer loaders and water truck at the direction of the Operations Supervisor.
- Safely directs truck traffic during unloading and loading operations.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and minor repairs on the skid-steer and attachments to ensure proper functionality.
- Performing daily cleaning, upkeep and safety checks of the equipment pre and post operation to ensure smooth operation of equipment.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues or concerns to supervisors.
- Support additional labor tasks as required, contributing to overall project completion.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to promote a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in heavy equipment operation preferred.
- Previous experience operating skid-steer loaders or similar equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in equipment operation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Comfortable working in various outdoor conditions.
- Capacity to operate heavy machinery for extended periods.
