Supervisor/Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Supervisor/Mechanic to oversee daily operations while also performing hands-on mechanical tasks. This dual-role position requires leadership abilities alongside strong technical skills to ensure the efficient functioning of our mechanical systems and a productive work environment. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Supervision: 

  • Oversee daily operations and workflow within the mechanical department.
  • Lead and mentor a team of mechanics, providing guidance and support.
  • Schedule and assign tasks to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and facilitate training for staff development.
  • Enforce safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment. 

Mechanical Duties: 

  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on various mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and inventory of parts.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in mechanical technology. 

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications preferred.
  • Proven experience in mechanical repair and maintenance.
  • Prior supervisory experience in a mechanical or industrial environment is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various physical conditions.
  • Prolonged standing, bending, and climbing as needed.
