About the Position
Groome Industrial Services Group is seeking an Assistant Mechanic that supports lead mechanics in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and equipment. This role involves hands-on work in a workshop or field setting, assisting with routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the inspection and diagnosis of mechanical issues in vehicles and machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Help in the disassembly and reassembly of mechanical components.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to company policies.
What does it take to work for Groome Industrial Service Group?
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
- Valid driver's license; CDL may be required for certain positions.
- Experience in automotive or equipment maintenance.
- Completion of a vocational training program in mechanics.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software.
