Process Equipment Operator

About the Position
Groome Industrial Service Group is seeking a Process Equipment Operator to join our team. In this role, you will operate baling equipment to process materials efficiently. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring various process equipment to ensure efficient and safe production operations. You will work closely with team members to maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor processing equipment at the direction of the Operations Supervisor.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Inspects and documents the condition of equipment each day.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions in a timely manner.
- Safely directs truck traffic during unloading and loading operations.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
- Performing daily cleaning, upkeep and safety checks of the equipment pre and post
- operation to ensure smooth operation of equipment.
- Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations and protocols.
- Participate in training programs and safety meetings to stay updated on best practices.
- Reports any unacceptable materials to the Operations Supervisor.
What does it take to work for Groome Industrial Service Group?
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience as a process operator or in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of process equipment and operational procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively.
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
