About the Position
Groome Industrial Service Group is seeking an Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and inspiring his or her team to achieve their performance metrics. Your role will involve strategizing, project management, part staff management. Your collaborative attitude and interpersonal skills will help you thrive as an Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities
Manage a team of Project Engineers.
- Detailed delegation and review, or composition, of bid requests including estimating and specification writing.
- Compose and review preventative maintenance reports, job reports, plant ROI analyses, technical drawings and other submittals.
- Coordinate project handoff from Sales to Operations.
- Monitor all quotes, bids, and projects to ensure timely responses.
- Regularly communicate with vendors and customers.
- Coordinate with Operation’s team to ensure proper project planning and performance.
- Visit jobsites to ensure proper estimating, planning, and execution.
- Provide sales and operations with technical support including onsite and offsite troubleshooting of any issues that arise.
- Review project execution and report on successes and potential areas of improvement.
- Provide onboarding and technical training for new hires.
- Attend trade shows, bid walks, and other events as a technical resource.
- Provide updates to company executives including department accomplishments and goals.
- Provide support to the finance team regarding projects and bid
What does it take to work for Groome Industrial Service Group?
- At least 5-7 years of engineering industry experience
- Bachelor of Science in Civil, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (or similar) from ABET University
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
- Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and late hours, when necessary.
- Must have the ability to report to work on time and when scheduled.
- Must have the ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Ariba and similar portals, CRM software, project management software
- Experience with MS Office products, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint
