The Contracts Manager is responsible for negotiating and managing contracts for customer programs and clearly communicating on-going progress with all stakeholders. These include customer supply agreements, allocation agreements, etc. with global EV and CE battery makers. The Contracts Manager will be interfacing with Business Development, internal legal counsel, external legal counsel, Quality, Operations, Marketing, Product, and Finance. This role will support Group14’s efforts to supply the largest battery makers, EV OEMs, and consumer electronics companies in North America, Europe, and Asia.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Review, revise, and negotiate contracts which include supply agreements, allocation agreements, terms and conditions, and purchase orders in collaboration with Business Development and Legal. Escalate complex legal and factual issues to appropriate teams to assist in resolution.
  • Support Business Development Managers negotiate contracts - with a specific focus on Chinese customers and the Chinese market.
  • Lead efforts associated with the Contract Life Cycle Management of all contracts in support of battery qualification programs for automotive and consumer electronics customers.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and customers to obtain the requirements needed for each contract; including internal Quality and Product teams for Quality and Technical agreements.
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance. Recommend and implement process improvements for contract compliance.
  • Provide concise and effective communications to key internal and external stakeholders on contracts progress.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Experience with automotive or battery customers or equivalent.
  • Experience negotiating customer supply agreements with battery manufacturers and/or automotive and consumer electronics OEMs.
  • BS or MS degree in Engineering, Chemistry, MBA, JD, or equivalent job experience.
  • 5+ years of contract management and/or customer support experience.
  • Strong track-record in managing complex cross-functional projects.
  • Fluent written and verbal proficiency in Mandarin Chinese to interact with our customers in China.

OTHER QUALITIES WE’D LOVE FOR YOU TO HAVE:

  • Experience with negotiating customer supply agreements with battery manufacturers and/or automotive and consumer electronics OEMs.
  • Start-up experience.

The annual base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $150,000. All positions come with a bonus plan and company stock options. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the position is located.

Base Pay Range

$110,000 - $150,000 USD
