Vice President, Construction Management

Moses Lake, WA; Seattle, WA; Woodinville, WA

Founded with the vision to electrify everything, Group14 is the leading commercial manufacturer of advanced silicon battery materials. Our breakthrough technology, SCC55®, is unlocking transformational performance for rechargeable batteries that power the world’s most critical innovations, from electric vehicles and AI-enabled electronics to eVTOLs and grid-scale energy storage. By enabling higher-density, faster-charging batteries, we are helping accelerate the global transition to an electrified future.

Over the past year, Group14 reached major milestones that underscore our momentum. We closed a $463 million Series D round, bringing our total equity raised to more than $1 billion, and acquired full ownership of a battery materials factory in South Korea, strengthening global supply chains and scaling production to meet surging demand. Headquartered in Washington state with manufacturing operations worldwide, Group14 is backed by world-class investors and customers, including Porsche, ATL, Microsoft, and SK Inc. As we continue to grow, we are building a team united by passion for shaping the future of energy.

As the Vice President, Construction Management, you will lead the physical realization of our global expansion. You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of our industry-leading manufacturing plants. Our BAM (Battery Active Material) modules are specialized, modular manufacturing facilities designed to produce high-performance silicon-carbon anode material for lithium-ion batteries. You will also be responsible for new construction and/or restart of existing specialty chemical manufacturing facilities delivering silane gas. You’ll manage concurrent projects across multiple continents and will employ the project management approach best suited to each individual region and facility. You may own the entire team and construction project, you may manage outsourced partners without a direct team, or a hybrid approach of the two, depending on what is most efficient and cost effective. This role oversees the entire Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) lifecycle, ensuring that our complex industrial assets are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Global Execution Strategy: Define and execute the strategy for worldwide facility rollouts, including site selection logistics, coordination of all internal Group14 resources and capabilities, budgeting and financial management, and country-specific labor and vendor strategies.
  • EPC Management: Lead the selection, negotiation, and oversight of global EPC firms. You will be the primary point of accountability for the performance of external partners.
  • Project Controls & Governance: Establish rigorous standards for project management, including cost engineering, scheduling (Primavera/MS Project/Kahua), risk mitigation, and change-order management.
  • Stakeholder Leadership: Act as the bridge between the executive leadership team, local government entities, and on-site project teams.
  • Procurement & Supply Chain: Oversee the procurement, delivery and installation of long-lead equipment and materials, navigating the complexities of global supply chains in the construction industry.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) or Construction Management. MBA preferred
  • 15+ years of experience in heavy industrial construction (e.g. Oil & Gas, Semiconductors, Chemical or Gigafactories
  • Proven experience working "owner side" within a corporate setting, managing large, complex capital projects
  • Proven experience delivering $1B+ projects from greenfield to commissioning on time and on budget.
  • Experience working with a Tier 1 EPC or Construction firm with a deep understanding of contractor business practices, financial structures (costs and margins) and operations.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% (domestic and international)
  • Technical Agility: Ability to toggle between high-level financial forecasting and deep-dive technical troubleshooting on the factory floor.
  • International Expertise: Familiarity with international building codes, permitting processes, and diverse labor environments (North America, Europe, South Korea).
  • Safety First: An uncompromising commitment to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards in high-hazard industrial and chemical environments.
  • Startup Agility: Comfortable building departments and processes from scratch while maintaining the pace of a high-growth company.
  • Strong Financial Acumen: Beyond knowing the numbers, able to see around the corner to anticipate issues and make sound financial decisions when large budgets are at stake.
  • Organizational Savvy: Understands how to read an organization, how to get things done formally and informally, and how to partner effectively across multiple teams, departments and regions.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
