The Role:
Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Sales, our Strategic Account Director position is the perfect opportunity to represent the voice of the market. A key senior, individual contributor role within our Revenue organization, the Strategic Account Director has proven experience building excellent client relationships at the Executive level within large global organizations. A trusted advisor — the Strategic Account Director understands the goals and objectives of the client and advises them through their journey to make the best decisions.
Partnering with internal peers (Sales, Brand Strategy, Operations, Finance), your role will maximize revenue while producing value and brand awareness for current and prospective clients across the Group Black portfolio.
Day-to-Day:
- Play a critical role on one or more client teams, building deep relationships with clients, serving as a go-to resource for clients, and providing strategic communications advice and direction to achieve client goals
- Support top-to-top meetings to strengthen business relationships as well as to determine the receptiveness of the client to new ideas, proposals, and products
- Meet or exceed sales goals, anticipate any challenges, and work with peers to determine strategies to overcome possible shortfalls
- Develop key client stakeholder relationships and drive client satisfaction at assigned accounts
- Develop and present persuasive, consultative presentations
- Assist with the development and execution of overall long-term strategy for the account, aligned to client business objectives
- Coordinate internal resources to meet client business needs
- Mastery and consistent execution of Group Black’s sales methodology
- Strong organization skills in account planning, day-to-day management, and maintaining OKRs
- Effective at driving impact and influence
- Cultural fluency to be able to credibly speak to our ecosystem and Collective
- Spend time embedded in the office of our clients driving value to their business
Key Projects:
The Strategic Account Director will focus on going after our top accounts and partnerships.
What you bring to the team:
- Minimum of 10+ years of Sales experience; Proven experience developing and growing client relationships
- Experience in media or advertising sales required
- A Strategic Closer. You have an established network and experience carrying a quota. You have an impressive track record of closing sales, winning clients, and managing relationships
- Extensive knowledge of revenue opportunities within the global media landscape and ability to identify opportunities in new markets
- Commitment to and demonstrable success of driving diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver deadlines
- Excellent organizational/time management skills
- Strategic Account Planning & Forecasting
- You are comfortable in a fast-paced and evolving environment that includes ongoing learning opportunities
At Group Black we believe in leveraging our hiring process as a way to support transparency. The annual base salary band for this opportunity is $160,000 - $185,000. Our job offer compensation philosophy, which impacts actual compensation, is based on a number of important factors including, but not limited to, internal and market equity, financial budgets, and the individual’s skills, qualifications, experience, and education. Published annual base salary bands do not include individual variable compensation opportunities, such as annual merit increases, bonus eligibility, commission, or equity incentives.
