
Full-Time Week Day Shift - Facilities Coordinator
This role is considered a go-to valuable resource responsible for maintenance, mechanical repair and overall building upkeep to ensure a safe environment. This person builds rapport with vendors and internal teams to keep the building running safely and smoothly.
Shift hours are Monday - Friday from 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.
Pay Rate: $20 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair as needed warehouse equipment including pack stations, racking, material handling equipment, pick carts, safety equipment, flex conveyors, automated conveyor system, fans & porta-coolers, floor scrubber, etc.
- Maintain, repair, install and upgrade of facilities hardware such as doors, lighting, walls, safety railing, guard rails, dock doors, dock plates, floors, restrooms, plumbing, basic electrical such as outlet and wall switches.
- Manage all outside vendor relationships such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, material handling services and repair, warehouse equipment specialist, locksmith, construction contractors and waste management in partnership with the Operations Manager.
- Facilitate procurement of maintenance parts, supplies, and service contracts within budget guidelines.
- Partner with the Safety Lead, custodial staff and Operations Manager to promote and ensure a safe and clean work environment.
- Perform routine safety inspections on fire extinguishers, safety equipment, and racking and conduct regular facility inspections and manage corrective action plans.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for critical equipment and systems, working closely with operations team to resolve issues.
- Ensure the facility is kept clean, organized, and safe, including overseeing janitorial services.
- Walk, standing, bending, twisting, reaching up to 12 hours per day
- Lifting & pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs
- Operate PIT equipment
Skills needed:
- Must be certified in the use of forklift and material handling equipment
- At least 2 years of experience in facility management or industrial maintenance.
- Basic building maintenance skills (painting, replacing/repairing outlets, etc)
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, including HVAC, process utilities, compressed air, vacuum systems, and electrical distribution.
- Solid understanding of building codes, OSHA regulations, LOTO procedures, and best practices in industrial safety.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Proficiency with Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides), and basic reporting tools.
- Licensed electrician or plumber a plus.
- Valid driver’s license.
