Senior Copywriter

THE ROLE

Grove Collaborative is seeking a full-time Senior Copywriter with exceptional storytelling skills, innovative creative ideas, and passion for health and sustainability. This role will lead strategic messaging across email, site content, and brand campaigns, owning how the Grove brand voice shapes the customer experience at every touchpoint. You’ll own high-impact channels and collaborate closely with design, marketing, brand, and product teams to bring ideas to life through sharp, performance-oriented copy.

In addition to being a hands-on writer, you’ll manage and mentor a junior copywriter focused on blog, social, and editorial content. You’re confident giving clear creative direction, love elevating others’ work, and understand how all channels work together to tell a cohesive brand story.

You are a great fit for this role if you thrive in a fast-paced environment, are curious about discovering new ideas and solutions, and enjoy collaborating across teams. You also bring working experience with AI tools and know how to leverage them strategically — not just to optimize workflow, but to identify new creative possibilities.

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO

  • Own copy development for high-priority channels including:
    • Email marketing (promotional, lifecycle, triggered flows)
    • Site UX (product pages, brand pages, navigation, flows)
    • On-site content (banners, modules, SEO-driven content)
    • Campaigns & PR (launches, brand storytelling, integrated brand moments)
  • Translate marketing and product strategy into clear, compelling copy that drives results
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across design, marketing, brand, and product
  • Leverage performance insights (clicks, opens, conversions) and A/B test results to improve messaging
  • Use AI writing tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper, Copy.ai) to scale and streamline copy workflows, and to identify new creative solutions
  • Manage and mentor a junior copywriter, providing feedback, guidance, and channel-specific support, particularly for:
    • Email
    • Organic and paid social
    • Blog and editorial content
  • Ensure consistency of brand voice across all customer-facing touchpoints
  • Proactively advocate for high creative standards, strategic thinking, and customer-centricity in copy

Own and evolve Grove’s copy guidelines, ensuring consistency in tone, grammar, clarity, and brand voice across all channels

ABOUT YOU

  • 5+ years of professional copywriting experience, ideally in ecommerce, DTC, or consumer brands
  • A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional copywriting and editing across performance and brand-driven content
  • Direct experience writing high-performing copy for email and/or digital product experiences
Strong editorial and storytelling instincts, with the ability to adapt tone across channels and audiences
  • Clear, empathetic communicator with management experience and a passion for mentoring other creatives
  • Experienced using AI tools in a strategic and creative capacity not just for speed, but for better ideas
  • Highly organized and proactive; you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and can lead projects from start to finish
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • Passionate about health, sustainability, and making everyday products better for people and the planet

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
