Senior Quality & Regulatory Manager, Owned Brands

Remote

Grove Collaborative is a sustainability-focused consumer products company creating household and personal care essentials that are effective, beautifully designed, and healthier for people and the planet. We are a certified B Corp, plastic-neutral, and on a mission to transform the CPG industry for good.

THE ROLE

At Grove, we believe that consumer packaged goods can be a force for human and environmental good. Our in-house developed brand, Grove Co., embodies this belief. The Senior Quality & Regulatory Manager is integral to ensuring that products meet our high standards for sustainability, safety, and efficacy.

We’re looking for a leader with strong knowledge of the VMS (vitamin, mineral, supplements) category, along with deep expertise in home and personal care manufacturing. This person will be responsible for ensuring Grove Co.’s ingredients, packaging, and finished goods meet specifications across our expanding portfolio, including supplements.

This is a highly collaborative role. Reporting to the Operations Director of our Product Team, the Senior Quality & Regulatory Manager will work with the Owned Brands team (R&D, Packaging, Brand, Creative), Legal, Operations, and external suppliers to ensure we launch products that not only adhere to quality and regulatory standards, but also uphold Grove’s mission to create healthier products for people and the planet.

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO

On the Regulatory Side:

  • Lead artwork reviews and approvals to ensure every Grove product meets FDA, EPA, FTC, FPLA, and evolving regulatory requirements—always with customer trust and safety at the core.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Legal, R&D, and Brand to substantiate claims, validate on-pack messaging, and design thoughtful safety testing protocols.
  • Own creation and maintenance of Safety Data Sheets (SDS), ensuring clear guidance on safe use, handling, and transport.
Champion Grove’s sustainability commitments by securing and maintaining certifications (e.g., Leaping Bunny, USDA BioPreferred).
  • Manage all required registrations with FDA/EPA for new products and facilities.

On the Quality Side:

  • Own Grove’s quality systems, documentation, and standards, ensuring products meet our high bar for effectiveness, safety, and sustainability.
  • Build and maintain quality agreements with suppliers, co-mans, and contract manufacturers—both domestic and international.
  • Establish and oversee robust inspection and sampling plans (AQL) to safeguard quality at scale.
  • Partner with Innovation, Packaging, Creative, and R&D to codify Grove’s product-specific quality standards, ensuring a seamless experience for our customers.
  • Track and analyze quality issues and consumer feedback, leading root cause investigations and corrective actions (CAPA) that drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct supplier audits and on-site visits, championing accountability and fostering partnerships rooted in shared commitment to excellence and compliance.
  • Be a visible leader during line trials, pilot runs, and new production launches, ensuring products meet Grove’s standards for quality, sustainability, and customer delight.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU

  • Bring 7+ years of Quality & Regulatory experience in CPG, ideally spanning VMS (vitamins, minerals, supplements), home, or personal care.
  • Understand industry frameworks and standards like ISO 9001, ISO 19011, ISO 22716, and cGMPs, and can apply them pragmatically in a fast-moving, lean environment.
  • Are fluent in statistical quality control tools (SQC, SPC, AQLs) and know how to use data to drive better outcomes.
  • Have a strong grasp of quality systems and structured problem-solving, with a continuous improvement mindset that helps elevate Grove’s supplier base.
  • Communicate with clarity and empathy — whether in a written report to executives or in a tough conversation with a supplier.
  • Have hands-on factory experience and a knack for understanding how products are made, diagnosing problems, and building lasting, respectful relationships with suppliers.
  • Are energized by values-driven work — Grove is a B Corp, and you’re excited to ensure products are safe, sustainable, and better for people and the planet.
  • Bring strong organizational and leadership skills, balancing big-picture strategy with player-coach execution.
  • Know how to navigate a dynamic, high-growth environment, keeping projects on track and deadlines met without losing sight of quality or mission.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
