The Opportunity:
We're seeking a Senior or Staff Product Designer to join our growing Design team and help shape the future of mental health technology. This is a senior-level role for an experienced designer ready to take on significant ownership and influence. You'll have the unique opportunity to work on 0-to-1 products that directly impact millions of users seeking mental health support, while operating at the intersection of product strategy, brand excellence, and user experience to create breakthrough solutions in a rapidly evolving industry.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Drive strategic product initiatives from concept to launch, leveraging design thinking to influence product strategy and business outcomes
- Design and prototype end-to-end user experiences with pixel-perfect execution, considering every interaction, animation, and transition
- Champion design excellence by treating product as an extension of our brand, ensuring every touchpoint meets the highest quality standards
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Product Management, and other stakeholders to bring ambitious visions to life
- Senior-level ownership with the autonomy to drive major product initiatives and influence company-wide design decisions
- Strategic leadership within the design organization, helping to shape team culture and design standards
What We're Looking For:
- Strategic mindset with a passion for 0-to-1 product development and the ability to see the bigger picture
- Exceptional craft with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to pixel-perfect execution
- Prototyping expertise across multiple tools and mediums, with the ability to bring ideas to life quickly and effectively
- Motion design sensibility with deep consideration for animations, transitions, and micro-interactions
- Brand-conscious approach that understands how product design extends and amplifies brand identity
- Process leadership experience in establishing workflows, design systems, and team practices
- Mentorship capabilities with experience guiding and developing junior design talent
- Cross-functional collaboration skills with proven ability to work effectively with Engineering, PM, and other disciplines
- In-house product experience required; agency experience is a plus
- Conversational AI experience is a plus, given our focus on innovative mental health solutions
You'll Be A Good Fit If:
- 5+ years of product design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking and exceptional execution
- Senior-level experience with proven track record of leading complex, high-impact product initiatives
- Experience working on consumer-facing products with significant user impact
- Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Photoshop, etc.)
- Strong understanding of design systems, accessibility, and responsive design principles
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present and defend design decisions
Role Details:
- Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
- Base Compensation: The base compensation range for this position is
Hybrid Commitment: $182,000 - 230,000 USD Annually
Fully Remote Commitment: $152,000 - 200,000 USD Annually
This role can be hybrid (onsite from our NYC, San Francisco, or Seattle hub location three days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) or fully remote. Both arrangements include travel 2–3 times per year (e.g., company and department offsites).
The base compensation for this role will vary depending on several factors, including relevant experience, qualifications, and the candidate’s working location.
