About the role

We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and results-driven Paid Search and YouTube Specialist to manage and scale paid advertising efforts across YouTube and Google Ads platforms. This person will have a proven track record of managing large budgets, launching and optimizing campaigns, and collaborating across teams to drive performance. 

This role requires expertise in video advertising, search campaigns, and advanced data analysis, along with a proactive approach to cross-functional collaboration to maximize ad performance.

Please note this is a US-based remote role reporting into our Head of Performance. 

In this role, you will:

  • Manage budgets and bids for YouTube VAC (16:9) and YouTube Shorts campaigns.
  • Plan, launch, and optimize ad campaigns to achieve performance goals.
  • Analyze campaign performance and identify actionable insights for improvement.
  • Build scalable, non-brand search campaign funnels to drive consistent results.
  • Launch and optimize search, PMax (Performance Max), and shopping campaigns to maximize ROI.
  • Work with the creative team to identify ad angles that are performing well and guide the development of future creative assets.
  • Collaborate with the landing page team to create high-converting pages tailored for YouTube and search campaigns.
  • Dive deep into campaign data to understand performance drivers and recommend next steps.
  • Use tools such as Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Ads Editor, and competitive research platforms to refine strategies.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Experience in paid advertising with a focus on YouTube, search, and PMax campaigns.
  • Proven experience scaling YouTube ad accounts from zero to $200k - $1M+.
  • Expertise in Google Ads and Google Ads Editor.
  • Familiarity with GA4 and leveraging data to improve ad performance.
  • Strong experience in launching and optimizing search, PMax/shopping, and video campaigns.

Bonus points for:

  • Agency, startup and/or e-commerce experience. 
  • Knowledge of competitive research tools like Vidtao.
  • Experience with attribution tools (e.g., Northbeam, Triple Whale, Rockerbox).
  • Advanced analytical skills to identify trends and determine the “why” behind performance changes.
  • Experience working at a subscription company.
